Works fine for me on 4.0.5. The link at the top logs me back in just like it always has.

Nope, not running vBSEO. Have no use for it.

Just installed it on 4.05 and it's working with this fix.
It is strange that you have to give permission even to admin to use it.

That is the way it should work. Not all Admins need to be able to use this.

Can somebody confirm that it does NOT work in 4.0.6 ? The link 'log in as this user' does not appear anywhere.

Update: yes it works with the fix mentioned above.

I can confirm that this is incompatible with VBSEO's' "Rewrite Member Profile URLs?" function. I'm using vb 4.0.6.

If you edit the mod and change the Hook Location of "member_complete" the links do appear by they do nothing other than refresh the page.

Personally I want to keep the URL rewrites so the generated links are no good to me.

However the mod is still usable by going to the user manager in admincp, finding the user and selecting "Log in as this user" from the dropdown list at the top.

You have to manually log back in again afterward as the top revert login link also fails but this is still a very useful mod.

i would be willing to contribute some cash if anyone gets this working with vbseo's "rewrite member's profile urls" turned on.

this made the log in as user appear but the link just redirects me back to the user profile not logged in as the user. wonder if vbseo has something to do with this?

I have this mod installed with 4.0.7 and the fix for the user profile as described a few posts back. When I am logged in as an admin and use this mod via the user's profile page it works as described. I get to the users profile and can then navigate anywhere on the site as that user.

But,

If I am logged into the admincp (as an admin obviously) and go to the user manager, select a user, then use the Quick User Links menu option Log In As This User, I get sent to the users profile page. If I click on ANY other link I immediately get changed back to my admin login.

I don't know what the difference is between the two methods.

Uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. Permission is set and I checked it for the 2 styles I have (Default one included). No result. So I guess this isn't compatible with 4.0.7.

I run 4.0.7 and it works fine. I haven't run into any problems.

Works great with 4.0.7CMS !
Did edit the hook, now I can see the link "login as this user" in the user profile as well.

It is working fine in 4.1 if you make the template edit change that is listed elsewhere in the thread. I made the change back in 4.0 somewhere and this has been working fine all the way up to 4.1.0 PL2.
