Should do, i haven't tested it though.

It works fine BUT

It doesn't integrate well. If you use a wrap around integration page you get two instances of the navbar.

Where can we edit out the articles navbar entry so only the advanced navbar appears?

Also I have trouble visiting the forum from the forum list via IE 7 it times out. Yet everything works fine in Firefox and also in IE7 if you use the articles navbar link. I have sorted this by turning off visibility to the forum in the forum lists.

What is the product which it is not compatible with?

Looking at your page source of the your website, the fix has not been applied.

Code:

<span class="bigusername"><strong>$post[title]</strong></a>
should be
Code:

<span class="bigusername"><strong>$post[title]</strong></span>
Revert template af_firstpost and upgrade to v1.4 (if you haven't already)

Bananalive, this mod for me could be the mod of the century if I can get it to work properly with VBadvanced. Do you plan to look at that? It does not integrate well as mentioned a few times here....Double Navbars and broken image links when posting a new article.

TheLastSuperman 05-14-2009 01:09 PM

Well I finally got around to installing and...

NICE MOD IMO, thanks soooo much ;)

TheLastSuperman 05-14-2009 01:27 PM

Ahh crud lol... found my first errors :p

Not a biggie BUT it conflicts w/ the Chief First Post mod. If you select to hide certain parts of postbit it will mess up the display (in the forums, not in the articles.php) and the 2nd post of every page will be similar to the first which it should not. I'll see about fixing it when I have spare time but uber busy. Still installed and working fine as I changed the admin options not to hide anything and all is back to normal but giving you a heads up ;). Once again, nice mod & Thanks!

S-MAN

Are you certain it is vBadvanced CMPS causing the problem?

You're right. I'm a fool, I thought I applied it last week, must have been the wrong template, lol! Thank you!

bigsbydapicka 05-14-2009 01:43 PM

yes. I installed a fresh 3.8.2 test site and applied your mod. Worked perfectly. Installed VBA and everything goes to h***. The image paths are all messed up as you can see in the pic. I've spent a lot of time trying to figure it out and can't. When VBA is installed it updates all of the image paths to the actual url. The image paths when I view the source all have http://www.yoursite.com/Categorys/images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif instead of http://www.yoursite.com/Forums/images/gradients/gradient_tcat.gif

Hi Bananalive, First of all - fantastic plugin!

I am having a problem with the new version, it is making all of my inline images revert back to links/thumbs site wide. If I disable the plugin (which I really don't want to do, because we love it!) the inline images come back straight away.

Thanks for your help!

HoneyHaHa 05-15-2009 11:03 AM

Getting this error across the top of forum when i upgraded to v1.4

Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in [path]/includes/class_postbit.php(294) : eval()'d code on line 36

Warning: in_array() [function.in-array]: Wrong datatype for second argument in [path]/includes/class_postbit.php(294) : eval()'d code on line 40

Problem solved seems like you need to go into article options and save new settings after upgrade.

This then clears the above errors?

EricVanDycke 05-15-2009 11:54 AM

Still the same.
I flushed my VBOptimize Cache too just incase.

Err, see the post above yours.

Tilly 05-17-2009 02:53 AM

For some reason the image thumbnails are not showing up on the article listings...ideas?

Tilly 05-17-2009 07:19 PM

Got it working had to turn on thumbnails.

Quick question which has been asked before in this thread.

VBadvanced....any chance of making this into a module so the Recent Articles show up.

Just as they do in Articles.php minus the stuff on the left and right, just the center piece?

Great Job though!!!

Jurhum 05-17-2009 07:27 PM
