Why do I need the converter but I have only the v3 Arcade. Heist now I must now make the ibProArcade it and then use the converter to make v3arcade. so awkward the whole
müste something simpler type

Biker_GA 04-04-2009 01:03 PM

Huh? If the only thing you are using is v3Arcade, there is absolutely no need for the converter.

yes and yes, be sure to read the readme file included in the zip file.

Reece^B 04-05-2009 04:00 PM

Okay I will do on my test board.

Suggestion, add as default the leader board mod on here.

Soliloquy 04-05-2009 04:55 PM

I installed this with no trouble, and the automatic link to the arcade is showing up on the default template but not the customized template. I checked and the navbar_buttons_left template hook is present, the only difference is that code is in the header template instead of the navbar template in the customized template. I'll probably add it manually, but I was wondering if we could have the option as to where it goes. I'd like to try it under the Community links myself. Any way to do this?

Still miss a function to report installed Games likes Postings to remove them if they are broken or anything else.

I'm having a few problems, i am on 3.82 vBulletin, and in adminCP, under the V3arcade dropdown, the only link that works is the settings one, so i cannot add games or see game tools or score tools. The arcade itself is working fine, but i don not know what the problem is. Whenever i click on one of the other options it says "page not found". :( Any idea? I had over 50 games on the iBProarcade, but i upgraded to this because it is customly designed for vB, and in many's opinion more safe. Note that other than this everything is working fine.. but i don't want to have to switch back to the iBProarcade for many reasons. I will wait for a reply.

Have you copied all the files to the correct places?
It looks like the files that should be copied to the admincp folder is missing.

Great mod!

Very easy installation and was able to integrate with vBCredits easily using their integration on their vBcredits.com site. Thanks! :D

benny92000 04-08-2009 12:34 AM

Ah, my bad, i forgot that i had renamed my admincp directory for security, now it is fixed. I think this arcade is by far the best for vBulletin, i just wish it had a system for tournaments.

wAnBoA 04-10-2009 09:36 AM

I'm using ibProArcade.
Can i shift all the games/scores to v3 Arcade?

ArnyVee 04-10-2009 10:46 AM

So, I downloaded and added all of the games from v3arcade :D

Now, if I want to add additional games in the future, where should I be looking for the games?

I want to do a 'new release' game of the week or month (depending on how many I can find out there), so I just wanted to prepare for that.

Games yes.. Dont' think the scores go, though. Also be prepared for some of the ibPro games to not function.

A quick search via Google can net various sources for games. Although if you want to be assured of game functionality, I'd limit my source to v3arcade.com.

rzoned 04-10-2009 05:36 PM

i am getting an error when i try to extact it saying

invalid format or error when archived

Biker_GA 04-10-2009 09:34 PM

Corrupted download. Delete the file and download again.

PaiNx 04-13-2009 02:07 PM

I searched the forums, but didn't find what I was looking for. Will this work with the latest version of vBulletin (3.8.2)? If not, I will wait for the newer version that is compatible to come out before I install this.

Thanks in Advance,
PaiNx

der_darkon 04-13-2009 03:20 PM

Yes it works perfectly with 3.8.2 :D

But before I come now to the latest version should upgrade, I prefer to write the times I have the latest version on it but I've had the vbcms (portal) with me on it. Now I have the portal to the start page of the Forum made, I've read in the vbcms.php renamed index.php and index.php in forum.php.
I hope it can help someone because the arcade is back

I think your having the same problem as me........

My original VB index.php has been renamed to forum.php and the VBAdvanced cmps_index.php has been renamed index.php

The v3A games submit fine, but the IBPro games call index.php on submission, which is obviously wrong and you end up with just a blank page.

I would appreciate some help on this too, as I've been chasing my own tail trying to find a solution.
TIA folks

Biker_GA 04-13-2009 06:03 PM

Why did you place vBAdvanced in the same directory as your primary forum files? Are your forum files placed in the root directory as well?

I got this installed on 3.8.1 and it's working fine. I have to say that the installation instructions are pretty vague and have the potential to cause some serious problems if you don't know what you're doing. ie overwriting file folders because the instructions only say to install the files in the "forums folder" to the forums directory. If a person takes that literally and does that they overwrite their forum folders.

I would definitely suggest a more indepth explanation as to how and where to install all of the files in the installation instructions.

Biker_GA 04-17-2009 11:42 PM

No, it doesn't. It overwrites ONLY if there's a file of the same name. The directions are correct.

nyunyu 04-18-2009 09:10 AM

I love this mod!
Is there plan to include auto updates?
Like giving the option to admin to fetch games straight from v3arcade site and automatically installed them to the forum. Something like overgrab arcade?

Also, I forgot to chmod the required folder to 777 before installing games, not the games is there in my forum just that their images and swf are missing.
How to uninstall these games and reinstall them again?

In your admincp select V3 Arcade then games then find the game and select Delete and press Go.
chmod your folder if you havent and after that just reinstall the games.

Biker_GA 04-18-2009 04:27 PM

Shouldn't be a need to remove the games. Can always chmod the files as well. ;)

It wont install if you dont delete, since it thinks they game allready are installed.

Biker_GA 04-18-2009 06:56 PM

Ahhh. Forgot about that.. I stand corrected. :D

You're not understanding what I'm saying.

What I mean by the possibility of accidental overwriting is: The installation instructions say simply this.

Quote:

Upload all the files from the "forums" directory in this zip into your forums directory.
That's it. If I didn't know what I was doing and simply followed these instructions there's the potential to overwrite your forums admincp folder, images folder, includes folder, and clientscript folder.

The instructions should say to install the contents of each of these folders into their corresponding folders on your server. Otherwise, there is the potential to overwrite these folders.

Does that make sense?

Biker_GA 04-19-2009 09:55 AM

No. The contents of the AdminCP folder in the zip file are supposed to go into the AdminCP folder on the server. It doesn't overwrite the folder. The contents of the folder are written to the corresponding folder on the server.

No, it doesnt make sense.

Folders do not get overwritten, only files of the same name would get overwritten, thats basic facts about how file copying/uploading works. :)

He understand and give you the accurate reply.
Let's say you have "Folder A" on the server containing "file1.php, file2.php, file3.php and file4.php" and you have "Folder A" on your desktop with "file1.php, file2.php, file3.php, file4.php, file5.php, file6.php" inside it.

When you upload "Folder A" from your desktop to your server, It will only overwrite existing files and adding new files. It does NOT overwrite the folder itself. So, you will still have your Folder A with all the files intact in addition to the new files you uploaded.

Frogsong 04-19-2009 03:02 PM

So you're saying that if I upload the admincp folder itself, in it's entirety, to my forums directory, it wouldn't overwrite the folder in the directory but rather open itself and upload the files in the folder to the corresponding folder?

Frogsong 04-19-2009 03:04 PM

Ahh, thank you Nyunyu. I did not know that because I've always been afraid to try it.

The Big Three 04-21-2009 02:49 AM

I installed it and it seems fine in the ACP. I'm thinking the link to it would be

www._______/forums/arcade.php ?

When I open that it says I don't have the permissions to view it.. yet I'm super admin.

You need to go into your usergroups and set the permissions for Arcade.
