Cybernetec,

a little feature request: i'd like to give some of my moderators permissions to edit the rules for their corresponding forums. do you think it'll be very hard to implement?

Elric 09-18-2009 11:58 AM

Is there a option to use this hack with other goups then 6...!?

I am the tec admin and i use another group and now i cant change everything in the rules.

Anyone??

Elric 09-18-2009 03:45 PM

ACP --> Phrasen...

Ch'Ih-Yu 09-18-2009 05:19 PM

Nice mod so far.

But it seems someone was a bit lazy with the control panel. Half of the options don't have a title, just a description. :p

john.friel 09-23-2009 12:55 PM

Just installed (and reinstalled with Overwrite) and my users keep getting the rules to approve over and over and over. Had to disable the forum till I figure this out.

What should I check?

Thanks!

Great product concept! Making mental note to try it.

merk_aus 11-16-2009 02:17 PM

I hope you take the time to upgrade this to vb4.0 if you need a test board license let me know I can set one up for you. I would like to see this and your other ones upgraded to 4.0.

To get rid of a custom template, click on the template and then the revert button. :)

GeorgeB85 11-17-2009 10:26 PM

was seeing when this might be upgraded to 4.0?

Welcome!

FearlessWeeder 11-30-2009 03:35 PM

This appears to be a fantastic add-on.

Perhaps I asked this question in the wrong forum.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...19#post1920219

Will this hack allow us to create an acknowledge and acceptance of terms of agreement specific to one forum before starting a thread for 3.8?

We have the standard click-through when first registering wherein which guests agree to our TOS or they aren't able to register. We don't have anything for an individual forum.

It is my understanding Cyb Adv Forum Rules is capable of doing what we want. We would like to create a click through for one forum only that members starting new threads would have to acknowledge and accept before being allowed to create their new thread. We are not looking for a force read. We could use a click-through not all that dissimilar from the click-through required at time of registration.

Will this hack do that and if so how we would go about doing it? Any guidance would be very much appreciated.

Alfa1 12-03-2009 08:35 PM

When a user joins a social group it can be handy to have the user agree to the rules or guidelines of the group. This will make sure that the user understands the purpose and rules of the group.

Please add a function to show rules to new social group members when they join.

FearlessWeeder 12-06-2009 03:44 PM

Unfortunately, members from any group may submit articles to this one particular forum and we do need an automated way to inform them of the rules prior to submitting an article.

The forum we have created is not all that dissimilar to the forum here at vB.org under the tab articles. Any member can submit an article. We don't know who will be submitting one until it appears. We are not in a position to intercept these members trying to contribute content by asking them to join a social group.

There really must be a way to create a click through for one specific forum. vB provided one for all those registering.

Will this work on a 3.8.4?

Trumpetrhapsody 12-29-2009 04:13 AM

Yes, that would be cool !!! :up::up:

Bergler 01-03-2010 03:33 PM

Yes, Cybernetec has some great mods and I used many of them on 3.8. I sure hope they are converted to 4.0 :up:

morrow 01-04-2010 01:50 AM

This is working great for me now!!! 3.8.4. Thank You!

morrow 01-04-2010 02:13 AM

Ok... I do have a question... How will this affect spiders from coming onto my site? If I enter the site as a guest, I have to wait 30 seconds (or whatever time I set) before I can view anything.

DaPro 01-04-2010 06:07 PM

Is this being ported over to 4.0?

meschiash 01-17-2010 07:41 AM

I wait too for CFRULES for vB4.x.x ! :D

RedFoxy 01-29-2010 12:22 AM

me too, it's too important!

Just some suggest for new version: a way to link directly to a specific rule (I've more than one) without using menu

speedway 01-30-2010 12:19 AM

Just upgraded to 3.84PL2 and the Accept button has disappeared upon upgrade to CYB rules 4.02.

As I get around 20 - 30 new members per day I would very much appreciate someone suggesting where I should be looking as our rules are needed. Barring that, how do I keep the rules active WITHOUT forcing acceptance? That would do until I can sure the no button problem....

Cheers
speedway

It would be nice if will be thinking about SEO, and Google could gain automatic approval rules to scan the contentst

solarweb 02-07-2010 06:14 AM

I´m waiting for the v4.0 compatible version too. Maybe the more useful mod i´ve ever seen.

DaPro 02-14-2010 03:48 PM

Hey Valter, I see you have upgraded your other mods, will this one be coming over as well bud?

inciarco 02-14-2010 05:31 PM

To Include the Accepted Rules on the Profile Statistics, (would be a nice addition on your next Update Cybernetec;)):

Create a Plugin:

Product: vBulletin (I select this so that on an Update the Plugin don't get Deleted)
Hook Location: member_profileblock_fetch_unwrapped
Title/Name: Cyb - Advanced Forum Rules - MI - Accepted Rules in Profile Profile Statistics (or the name you want)
Execution Order: 5
Plugin Active: Yes

Quote:

Note to the PHP Code: (Choose the Usergroups you don't want the Accepted Rules to be Diplayed to, currently '1,8', simply separate them with commas)
PHP Code:

Code:

if (!is_member_of($vbulletin->userinfo, explode(',','1,8')))
                {

                        $cyb_frules_readsets_2 = $userinfo['cybfrules_sets'];

if ($userinfo['cybfrules_sets']!='0')
                        {

                        $cybfr_getrulesets_2 = $vbulletin->db->query_read("
                                SELECT id, name
                                FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "cyb_frules AS cyb_frules
                                WHERE id IN ($cyb_frules_readsets_2)
                                ORDER BY id ASC
                        ");
                        while ($cybfr_ruleset_2 = $this->registry->db->fetch_array($cybfr_getrulesets_2))
                        {
                                $cyb_frules_readitem_2 .= "<tr><td class=\"statistics_group\"><b>".$cybfr_ruleset_2['id'].":</b> ".$cybfr_ruleset_2['name']."</td></tr>";
                        }

                                $cyb_frules_force_2 = '        <fieldset class="statistics_group">
                <legend>Accepted Rules</legend>
                <span class="shade"><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">'.$cyb_frules_readitem_2.'</table></span>
        </fieldset>';

                                eval('$template_hook[\'profile_stats_last\'] .= "$cyb_frules_force_2";');

                        }

                }

Option 2:

If you want the Accepted Rules to be Displayed to All Usergroups, simply Choose the following code:

PHP Code:

Code:

                        $cyb_frules_readsets_2 = $userinfo['cybfrules_sets'];

if ($userinfo['cybfrules_sets']!='0')
                        {

                        $cybfr_getrulesets_2 = $vbulletin->db->query_read("
                                SELECT id, name
                                FROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "cyb_frules AS cyb_frules
                                WHERE id IN ($cyb_frules_readsets_2)
                                ORDER BY id ASC
                        ");
                        while ($cybfr_ruleset_2 = $this->registry->db->fetch_array($cybfr_getrulesets_2))
                        {
                                $cyb_frules_readitem_2 .= "<tr><td class=\"statistics_group\"><b>".$cybfr_ruleset_2['id'].":</b> ".$cybfr_ruleset_2['name']."</td></tr>";
                        }

                                $cyb_frules_force_2 = '        <fieldset class="statistics_group">
                <legend>Accepted Rules</legend>
                <span class="shade"><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">'.$cyb_frules_readitem_2.'</table></span>
        </fieldset>';

                                eval('$template_hook[\'profile_stats_last\'] .= "$cyb_frules_force_2";');

                        }

My Best Regards.

:)
