Ok thank you I will test. :)

Paul M 01-03-2010 01:39 AM

AFAIK, Flashchat 5 is defunct and no longer available. Im not sure if version 4 is downloadable anymore either.

SSG.D 01-03-2010 03:35 PM

Loaded FC 6.06 With Paul's 3.8 integration. Everything worked for me but not my members. (invalid user name or password)

My remedy:

During the install of tufat's FC I selected my version vb 3.8 I then took Paul's vbulletin40.php and copy and pasted everything from // Initialise CMS // on down,, to my vbulletin38php and click save. The key element I found was to leave all the files in the inc/cmses folder in tact. I tried just leaving the vbulletin38.php stand alone but what happend was the buttons and input area did not load. So I put all the files back and boom everything worked.

I'm no coder so I could not tell you why it works for me and my members now but it dose. I'm using the free version for now to evaluate it. So far so good.

Thanks Paul Great work m8 :D

i uninstalled this and it still appears on the left column in admincp. how do I remove that?

Paul M 01-06-2010 07:52 PM

Remove whatever modification is adding it.

More notes:

* This modification does not add any links to Flashchat Administration in the ACP.

Sevo 01-21-2010 01:00 AM

yes, 4.7 is available for DL. If I am still running VB 3.8 what integration will work for 4.7. I tried to Dl 5.0 but it is not avail?

Thanks Paul for all the help

Paul M 01-21-2010 08:40 AM

If you look in the 3.8 section of my profile you will find the 4.x versions.

Hey together :)

today @ afternoon i installed this Add-on. @ afternoon it works great. But now i become this message, when i log in admin panel:

Fatal error: Call to a member function next() on a non-object in /myhost/mydomain.com/websites/forum/chat/inc/cmses/statelessCMS.php on line 130

And when i want to login in chat, i become just the background of the flash chat. Why?

I hope, that somebody can helb me and read my bad english! :D ;)

This happend to me after install this addon everything worked but i noticed in the admin the CMS was set to stateless and when attempting to set it back to vBulletin 3.8 there was no option higher than vBulletin 3.6 so i reloaded page and checked again no go so i changed a setting on the lower half of the page for some other options like themes etc and soon as i cliked save it saved the stateless and returned that error, logging in gave the background of chat only like the guy above. d/l the file you directed him to and uploaded it to the chat/admin/ dir and reloded admin page then set FlashChat to use vBulletin 3.8 saved changes and everything seems to be working now.
where can I get the Who's Chatting addon to show on my forum's main page I used to have untill server hdd died?

LeatherNeck 03-01-2010 06:49 AM

working beautifully with flashchat v6.0.7 on vb3.8.2 thanks paul ****INSTALLED****

stardotstar 05-21-2010 04:26 AM

Hi guys, I have noticed that the only mention of FC6.x integration with vB centers around vB4 which is understandable but based on LeatherNeck's encouraging post I decided to do an upgrade to FC6.0.7 and it has taken a bit of stuffing around for me to get to the point where I think it is going to be possible to live with it.

I had to enter the config and ensure my user groups were correctly defined and then with the permissions set in the usergroups users can use the chat; but there is no admin access for me at all and I am a bit confused as to why that may be...

when I try to access the ./forums/chat/admin/index.php
I get a pure white page (no source) and when trying to do the admincp integration from Mosh https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=194784 which worked for Version 5 (which of course it was released for) I see the admin panel options but I get blank admin main panels when I select the options.

So I am sort of stuck with how to admin the chat. I am starting to look at the ways that this can be done in the configs manually - as for the user groups - but if I can get to the bottom as to why I am getting the white pages and so on I would appreciate it.

Paul, I know that your integration is not for version 6 and so I may have to start up a general discussion thread for this but, as I say, with the encouraging post from combat-evolved I thought I'd try and if anyone has had this before becuase its something silly I have done then I may get some help.

Thanks as always for awesome code and generosity with your hacks and support!

Will

Paul M 06-09-2010 10:48 AM

That means you have not installed Flashchat correctly.

goshalim 09-15-2010 06:19 PM

Quote:

Fatal error: Call to a member function next() on a non-object in /home/canarybr/public_html/up/forum/chat/inc/cmses/statelessCMS.php on line 130

goshalim 09-16-2010 10:37 AM

Hi PAul

I re install the whole folder and now its Ok

My question to you or to anybody that knows.

In the offfice whre iam spending nmore than 12 hours a day my flash chat what i receive is a blue screen . ALl ohter members even me at home iam Ok

Now till yesterdy i was using the version 4 for FC and now upgrade to 5.0.8.

I know that you need to have flash player highe than 8 and i have 10,
But still blue screen.]]

I know also that the IT people have prevent a lot so we cannot for a=examble watcg , tv , listem to radia, or watch youtube for security and not only reasons.

Now is there somethinhg else which the flashchat 5 needs to work exept from the flash player?

awaiting for answers to my problem

the same blue screen is on all company computers

Paul M 09-16-2010 12:26 PM

As it says, for Flashchat problems you need to go to the Tufat site.

However, Flashchat 5 is discontinued, so I dont know if you will get much of an answer.

goshalim 09-16-2010 02:36 PM

Ok but , just asking because you are so fimiliar with it.

The only thing i want to know if my computer exeprt fromthe flash playr needs something else so that the FC can work properly .

serra00 09-20-2010 04:54 AM

could you explain your cms file?
for more you use this or the tufat I get
Fatal error: Call to a member function next() on a non-object in /home/public_html/foro/chat/admin/init.php on line 294
if I set it up, ie I give permissions to that file the error jumps me
and if I do not give permissions I get this
You are using FlashChat with existing CMS system. You can edit users in the "Users" section of your CMS system.
I should do?

Paul M 01-02-2011 10:34 PM

Important Note:

I no longer use Flashchat (and havent for over 18 months).

The development and support of Flashchat at Tufat.com appears to have died in 2010 - the site owner has not been seen for almost a year, and even the developer who took over F/C version 6 has not logged in for at least two months. The last [beta] version was 6.0.8, released in June 2010.

Therefore after almost 6 years of supporting Flashchat Integration with vBulletin, I have decided I can no longer support my Flashchat modifications. I do not have it installed on my test sites anymore.

Anyone who wishes can of course continue to use them, and they should continue to work quite happily in 4.1 [for the moment]. However, any future issues caused by vb style or code changes may break them, and will most likely remain unfixed.
