I followed yr steps, it's kind a "on and off" things; the issue sometimes goes away and runs smoothly but when I closed and re-opened browser again, sometimes it happens again. Really confuses me.:confused:

A minor issue. I have enabled IP logging and set it to clear after a day.

However, with me I notice my IP does not clear after 24 hours and I am always prompted to register when I try to view a thread?

Have you uploaded the cron file and is the scheduled task showing up in your ACP?

I would like to change the CSS of the block page to alt2 so the links in the block page are in Blue and underlined. Where can that be edited?

Depends on how your server is configured; you may do this through a control panel program, phpmyadmin, or the mysql shell.

Still the same problem even when I run cron job manually "Run Now" it just shows this:

Doesn't even say "Done".

It actually wasn't coded to say anything. If you want to debug a bit try the attached version and let me know what it says (ideally you'll get 3 lines of text ending with all done).

Where do I upload that attachment file?

And, what am I s'pose to do. Try to run it manually again?

Upload it to the includes/cron folder and then manually run the scheduled task again.

Nope, I instantly check to see if my IP has been wiped and try to browse a thread but I still get the message prompting me to register.

And you've cleared your cookies to insure that's no why, correct?

Correct, I just did that now and still no change.

Sorry for not being clear. The clean up file is running... in that it gets to the end of the script without errors. however it's not doing it's job. That something I can diagnose from my end (rather than a bug with the script which could be site specific). Look for an update in the next few days.

Sorry to keep asking you to be the guinea pig with this but if you don't mind, upload this version of the cron file and manually run the schedule task which should clear out your IP record database properly.

If that does not work you can manually clear it by using the mySQL query: DELETE FROM lgv

(Note: if you use table prefixes you will need to add that before lgv... ie vb_lgv).

It works but only when you do it manually. After running the crob job manually and then deleting my cookies it didn't work.

Very very strange. How about this version? Does that do the trick? (Keep simplifying things until they world...).

I'll be retesting myself shortly but am in the process of working on getting all my addons to 3.8 right now.

Well that's good but unfortunately it doesn't account for days. When you were testing were you setting your days to wait to 0?

Yeah, I looked at the screen shots on here. However, I wanted to see what it looked like in a real setting.

Not sure how much more real you get than screenshots taken from an actual install but if you want to see it on a site in use I'd suggest looking back through the thread for people who have it installed and link to their site. Most installed users don't return to a hack's thread unless they have an issue with it.
