Well D Jedi, Nobody has figured out how to crack (that I know of) nfl.com. I found a site who is embedding, but he hasn't emailed me back. Can you take a peek at his site and see if ya know?

Everyone needs a challenge ;)

SBlueman 07-20-2008 08:04 PM

Any chance of coming up with an embed code for movies that you can make on grapheine.com's bombay TV section? This is their embed code for this page:

URL: http://www.grapheine.com/bombaytv/in...0102cca01910ec
Embed Code:
Code:

<object width="400" height="370"><param name="movie" value="http://www.grapheine.com/bombaytv/bt.swf?code=2efb7c653820d4956b0102cca01910ec"></param><embed src="http://www.grapheine.com/bombaytv/bt.swf?code=2efb7c653820d4956b0102cca01910ec" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="400" height="370"></embed><a href="http://www.grapheine.com">Grapheine : Agence de communication, agence de publicit?, illustrateur, Paris Lyon </a></object>

It should work, but is it possible to browse their selection of movies? I didn't see any obvious links to look though, and I would need to grab some random videos to make sure it would work for all of them.

It was requested once before sometime back, but they simply don't have any embed code for me to reference.

Does anyone know if MSN news videos expire? (The videos from their RSS feeds) I didn't think about it at first, but after realizing links from yahoo news that I posted months ago on my forum are already dead, I assume they remove news videos after awhile as well... I learned about the MSN news videos here so I figured someone might know, sorry for being a bit off topic...

Digital Jedi 07-24-2008 04:28 AM

I haven't seen evidence that they expire. I have a video posted in my test thread from back when I first made the MSN definition, and it loads each time I load the thread.

That would be up to The Geek. But he's said he's not going to update AME for the foreseeable future.

You'll need to link me to examples of what's not working and the links to the files your trying to stream.

Yes, they don't work together from all reports I've heard.

That appears to be a new URL structure for some videos. I'll addresss it on the next update.

Is it possible to embed Google Maps with this?

I'm not really that good with this stuff, so I would not begin to know how to do it.

Dan Clark 08-02-2008 09:26 PM

DJ,

Hi. I got the basic install done. However, the instructions to install additional definitions are confusing. It says, "Definitions are installed by importing them through your AME CP in your Admin CP.". In the AME CP, there isn't any "Import" option. What's up?

Thanks,

Dan.

I've not tried it yet, because I have the modification that embeds Google Maps suing BBCode. That said, that mod hasn't been working in a while, so I'm not sure if we'll see an update to it. If not, I'll look into it, but I'd have to come up with something sensible for a user to put in that would translate into a map. I'm not sure what that would be yet.

Import should be the third option in the main AME CP list. It should read:

AME CP
Settings
Display
Import
Export
Tools

Dan Clark 08-03-2008 05:48 PM

DJ,

I cleared the cache, logged out and back in. Now I see a separate AME menu on the left. I see that "Import" is an option. I'll work with that.

Thanks and regards,

Dan.

ETDC 08-03-2008 10:51 PM

I'm having no success importing any of these xml files. I'm trying it via AME CP (Import) from both local and from my server - and the import process just goes on forever... :( Any ideas?

Probably just forgot to reload your Admin Control Panel after importing.

It shouldn't take long at all. Have you tried importing a single definiton?

yotsume 08-04-2008 05:21 PM

Can we get this to work with the latest version of Clipshare and the player on this site: http://www.guitar-tube.com/

The new player wont embed. How can we get this mod to work for Clipshare at:

http://darkorange.clipsharedemo.com/

Thanks I hope!

Guitar-Tube will likely be a problem because of the Javscript embed code. I've not been able to get a site that uses Javascript to work yet.

Dark Orange should work fine, and I'll add it to the list of next updates.

DragonMasterNYC 08-05-2008 02:28 AM

I can't seem to get any of the audio sites to work at all will there be a fix for that.

Digital Jedi 08-05-2008 03:58 AM

That depends on if there's actually a problem. Link me to the post(s) where they're not working for you.

GrendelKhan{TSU 08-05-2008 08:39 AM

can't seem to find brightcove in the dj's ame folder (for individual install). :(

Eesh, I don't know how that happened. I'll try to add that to the Master in a minute. In the meantime:

<sigh> I would pay money if Imeem would leave their embed structure alone. I'll add the XML to my next update, but in the meantime, drop this into your Imeem (Music) definition in the these two respective fields, and it should work for you:

Regular expression:
Code:

http://[\w]*\.imeem\.com/[\w]+/music/[\w]+/[\w]+/*
Embedding Regexp:
Code:

http://media\.imeem\.com/m/([\w/=-]+)/aus=false/

DJ, do you happen to have a temp solution for ESPN videos?

ashley76 08-07-2008 12:06 AM

How do you change the top link on the amazon one? The picture and link under the picture point to my affiliate ID but, the link up top (in the header of the box) does not...

Not just yet, I just haven't had a chance to look at it more closely. I spotted the problem with Imeen right away.

There's no way to change that. That simply uses the link posted and isn't defined by the RegEx. You'd have to put the affiliate ID in when you post the initial link.

ashley76 08-07-2008 01:17 AM

thanks...

Gametrailers embed doesnt works , it only show the link to the video . Its like it doesnt recognise the url to show the player... any suggestion ?

kikolobo 08-08-2008 10:51 AM

For some reason, neather the sets , not the fotostreams or slideshows work...

It embeds allright, but the embed code says : "No Such Foto Found"

or in fotostreams :

"Unkown Error"

This messages are shown in the player or embedded window.

I tried several fotostreams, mine and other, but just for informational porpoises, here's what i used first and failed :

Yes, as I mentioned, I'm working on that for the next update.

You need to use the physical URL of the slideshow: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kikolob...81622134/show/.

That said, there are a handful of slideshows that still wont convert until I address them on the next update. Flickr's URLs are all over the place when it comes to their slideshows, so it's tough nailing down an all encompassing RegEx that doesn't conflict with the their videos.

The error your encountering is the Flickr (Video) definition trying to find a video, because all Flickr video URLs look look like that: http://www.flickr.com/photos/[username]/[id_number]/ It makes for an imperfect solution, but until Flickr stops putting their videos into the same photos directory that everything else is in, or at least puts it into a uniquely named subfolder, it's the only way to make it work. As long as you stick to posting the physical Slideshow URL, or turn it off when posting something different, you shouldn't encounter any problems.

Karin 08-11-2008 04:54 AM

Hi just wanted to say thank you for this great module but the only problem I have is that you have the Youku playlist XML in your zip but not Youku, which is the one I needed to allow embedding of Youku videos. If it's not too much hassle can you please post that thank you very much. :)
