Same here - everything works besides the avatars. If you view the link source it is trying to get the image via http://www.ozsource.org/image.php?xxxxxx where it should be http://www.ozsource.org/forums/image.php?xxxxxx

i did the edit, but it still says loading. any reason why?
And i tried that security thing, but that just made it disappear completely.

tuahemas 11-15-2008 05:41 AM

hi I have VBA CMPS in the root of my site. whi;e forum located at subfolder "forum/".

didn't work when trying to view members profile. Avatar also don't show. seem like it's missing "/forum/" link. how do I fix that?

tuahemas 11-15-2008 06:06 AM

ok never mind. i just do some hard code witih these 2 templates:

1) in mgc_cb_evo_chatbit > find "$avatarurl" and replace with "$vboptions[bburl]/forum/$avatarurl"

2) in mgc_cb_evo_chatbit_menu > find all "member.php" and replace with "$vboptions[bburl]/member.php"

it's done now. tq for this great mod!

Dr.H 11-16-2008 01:15 PM

I'm still having "loading" problems on one of my forums even though it works fine in the other..
I've tried all of the fixes I've seen here.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact my forum is installed onto my server root and I have the CMPS set as index.php while the forum is forum.php?

identitas 11-18-2008 01:22 AM

I have some problems. It's only print <br />.
Any suggest?

You are running a Release Candidate for CMPS. Upgrade to 3.0.1 then start to troubleshoot.

The loading issue is a security/token issue. If it's apache, you have to enable mod_security.

MindTr4p 11-19-2008 01:31 PM

Install CMPS 3.0.1 first.

Dinatius 12-08-2008 09:43 PM

2 problems, 1 isn't specific to the vba part...

1. Always loading on the vBa module. I did step 3 of the modification and cleared my browser cache. (Edit: Fixed, had to add some code for pages that aren't at www.mysite.com)

2. "Align usernames and chats" is not working. it's just overflowing from one line to the next. (Edit: I added a temporary fix, but if you have any ideas...)

On VB 3.7.4 and VBA 3.1.0, cb evo 1.1, vba mod 1.7

Ranger187 12-11-2008 08:09 PM

I think there's a fix for the alignment on the main plugin.

kNeeLy 12-12-2008 02:10 PM

Do yourself a favor, the amount of time from your first post to now, you could have read the 3 lines about 60,000,000,000 times. If you can't take 10 seconds, why should I? ;)

Like I said. 3rd line.

You'll ask someone else? LOL. Nobody else is helping you atm cupcake. ;)

Um, dude, if you can't read 3rd line from the top, you might want to stop messing with a computer. ;)

It clearly has a link at the very beginning of this plugin which is on the 3rd line. If you can't find that. Lay off the drugs. I also gave you the link again in my previous post.

I clearly assume you have no idea of what you are doing, and are new to vbulletin. Add-on's (the category you are in) is not a plugin. With that being said, you need a plugin/product first and then THIS item here complements that.

So go back, re-read my last post, follow that link like I told you to do, install the product, then once it's working, you install vBa CMPS, and then this module.

look man...i told u im new to this...im gettin better by the day..

i already have vBa installed...so i dont know if im supposed to be working off of that..or what..

can sumone jump in here and help me...without telling me to lay off the drugs and get off the computer....that aint cool at all...this is where you ask for help...and thats what im doing....

you keep putting the same link in these posts...but i dont know what to do with it...and you keep saying "third line down"..dude...WHAT??....third line down from what...the top of the page?? The beginning of the code??

Can anyone please jump in and help me...I would really like to get a chatbox up on my vba

Ranger187 12-15-2008 10:54 AM

For the 3rd time, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=257 goto that post, click the link. INSTALL THE PRODUCT. Then install the module here.

If you can't do that, stop asking for help. It doesn't get any clearer.

kNeeLy 12-15-2008 12:52 PM

If you could follow directions, why have you not done so then? ;)

I told you 5 times, follow the link, install the product, then install this module.

If you followed the link, you'd find the mgc product. With that, you would download the product and open the zip. Within that zip (like EVERY product) is a readme/install file. If you followed that, the product would be installed and then you could add the cpms module here.

look man....im not trying to start no war...all im saying is that when i open the readme file..i dont understand where i install the files...theres like one you put on ur server..which i did...then theres one you upload in ur admincp...which i did...

then .. heres where i get lost... I dont know what to do next...

Im not at home at the moment...so i cant say 'exactly' where i get stuck..but that about sums it up...

kNeeLy 12-15-2008 08:48 PM

4/ Go in your admincp, in the Language manager > Download/Upload language file and then :
- Select the language file from the "Lang" directory
- Select the forum language to overwrite
- Set the ignore language verison to Yes
- Launch upload <----what does that mean??

Just means continue on to the next step by clicking the submit button, or whatever text it has. After you Submit that info, it will be installed (still needing config in admincp).

As for my problems, I've figured out that this code seems to be having trouble with IE. I double-checked to make sure that I have scripting enabled, but no text shows up where posts ought to be. The Archive page works just fine regardless of browser. Firefox and Google Chrome seem to be fine. Attaching some screenshots... not that you can't figure out what I'm saying...

Din, I think you need to check the main plugin. The MGC one. You having the "loading" issues?

stangger5 12-16-2008 02:59 AM

If anyone just cant get it to work and needs more help installing,,,,you can pm me..

I`ll be glad to help...:)

You might have either permissions errors, be doing something wrong, or whatnot. You are new to this, so you might be overlooking something.

Hit me up on Aim: Rang3r187 or Yahoo: Rang3r_187 and I'll walk you through it.

I attempted to hack my way around and make it work and finally - much to the frustation of my few users - removed the chat fom my CMPS page.

Is an update for vbAdvanced needed to make it work? Or, did I screw something up (again)

Thanks!

Not that I know of. But check the main MGC Chat thread located on the top of the plugin here. Sometimes it has to do with mod_security, sometimes just user error. Typically, it's mod_security, var security token, or incorrect config that chat doesn't work.

Would the fact that I can view source on working pages and the appropriate JavaScript is there but viewing source of the VbAdvanced page doesn't appear to have it point me in the right direction? (The long list of variables and such are absent but the chatbox appears without the branding and the channel name and of course loading..)

Makes me think there's a file not being overwritten or something...

Sounds like a config error? Like the paths aren't set or something. If you are using the NEWEST vbadvanced, that might also be a problem.

I've got it working by specifying the full path to my clientscript folder within functions_mgc_cb_evo.php ( $mgc_cb_evo_js_script = '<script type="text/javascript" src="***path here **/clientscript/mgc_cb_evo/mgc_cb_evo_header.js"></script>';

I've noticed the mini avatars aren't showing in vbadvanced either but I can chase that down later....

Does the clientscript folder issue for vbadvanced indicate anything I should go 'fix'?

I havent had time to test with the newest version of mgc...

So sorry.. Had a couple of those myself this year and it's never easy.. (Hell, I even coded once myself!)

Hoping all is well for you and yours in the coming time...

Sorry to hear about your loss. Have also been there a couple of times this year.

Some things are much more important.
