If you're quick at BBCode, it takes practically no time at all to use the code vs. an advanced editor...

Are you insane?

thebassman 09-18-2008 02:23 AM

Not at all... but obviously faster @ BBCode than you are. ;) I just don't see what the big deal is...

I'd have to agree that it's not as difficult as your making it out to be.

yotsume 09-18-2008 04:46 AM

So please then turn off the editor that you all aren't using here on this forum.

WASTE OF TIME!!!

I style my PMs! Using BB code to do it is a pure waste of time! Enough said. Your view is selfish. Many users aren't good with code. Im glad you fast with BB code. Never faster then the editor above! LOL

Ill get this worked out and post a tweaked version ;)

Digital Jedi 09-18-2008 03:06 PM

Actually, my advanced editor is already turned off. Thanks for the suggestion. I'd argue that the ferocity of your statements are more inclined towards selfishness. BBCode aint that hard to type, plain and simple and I find the editor slower and imprecise. It puts the BBCode in the wrong places and/or adds too many tags and screws with the layout. Sometimes it doesn't even do what I told it to do.

But since we've already hijacked this thread with enough inanity, I'll leave it at that. I'm sure if the author thinks it's worth his time, he'll add it.

ArnyVee 10-03-2008 12:04 PM

So, this mod will allow me to send PMs to all of my members from within the AdminCP just like the e-mails I send.

Is there an option (admittedly, I haven't read all 17 pages, yet) so that I can have my mods do the same?

ams3521 10-04-2008 10:22 PM

thanks. this works just as it should. a welcome addition to my forum. thanks

ArnyVee 10-05-2008 02:28 AM

Does it's job! :D

Thanks for this.

Shuld this hack work whit vb v3.7.3 ??

andecorp 10-14-2008 04:37 AM

I have just uploaded on 3.6.5 and it crashed the site. The installation went fine and I sent out the pm's - 100,000+ But then, the site went down.

I can't access the forums. I can access the admincp, and going through it I can access and use pm, usercp, subscribed threads, etc, but as soon as I click on a thread, I get the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Same message when I go to the Forums homepage.

This was the message from the server tech support:

"Alright, well the issue seems to be related to vbulletin. I have checked the apache logs for errors and am seeing nothing related to the issue. I have also tried restarting the database and webserver to no avail. I have done some searching around to see if anyone else has ever had the same issue and it seems to normally be related to changes-gone-wrong to the vbulletin application. I would try changing themes or templates via the admin control panel if possible. Have you made any changes to this application recently?

Regards,
Matt Poletiek
Data393 Support "

Hi there,
I cant seem to install your product on my 3.6.8 vB instance. It keeps giving me an "Invalid File Specified" error when I try an import.I placed your files in their respective admincp & xml folders but no cigar.
Any clue on what might be wrong?
Thanks!

Are you trying to import the XML file as a plugin or a product?

No, just sometimes folks try to import XML files through their Plugin Manager rather then their Product Manager. Just checking to see if you weren't making that same common mistake, as I can't imagine why you'd get that error message otherwise.

I had the same issue, you need to upload the .xml into the xml folder then go into admincp and when you go to upload the product go to browse and pic the first .xml file not in any folders. Worked for me!

vividbreeze 12-25-2008 09:31 PM

I have 1550 members and it gave me this after I sent out the mass PM:
Sending Private Message
Showing Users 1 to 1,458 of 1,458

Why isnt it showing the other 100? I only have like 30 banned ppl....

I chose ALL usergroups too except for banned

I have 1,550 members, should I send out 1,550 all at once? Or what does it mean 500/at once etc? I need to send them out to everyone....

blackberry 12-27-2008 04:37 PM

Jair 12-28-2008 02:48 PM

wfouly 02-14-2009 01:04 AM

Thank you very much
looking for this hack since long time
i want to add one point
for security purposes I`m changing the name of the admincp folder so the admin when uploading the content of the upload file should notice this point and to upload the content to the folder with the new name otherwise it will give error message when using the hack

best regards

relaxiha 02-16-2009 11:16 PM
