Dismounted 04-29-2007 05:31 AM

Yes, but I don't have it planned.

Dominic 05-05-2007 12:48 PM

How come when i click any link, it goes to 2 redirect pages? How can i limit this to one, as 2 is pretty annoying.

arco 05-06-2007 01:35 AM

Seems to have problems with urls enclosed in (). Like for example (http://www.vbulletin.org)

Then it adds the last ) to the redirect url.

Same problem.
I removed this, But enjoyed having it.
When removing the hack I had some history of posts problems doing the redirect still when the mod has been completely removed, and the redirect would just send it to a unknown page. Had to run a backup :erm:

The earlyer versions didn't seem to have that problem

UltimateOreo! 05-06-2007 02:10 AM

Hes planning to take over the world, cant you see it? Hes pure evil. Dont mess with Dismounted :x.

I can't tell of this is sarcasm because I haven't seen it in any of your posts yet. :erm:

This happens when you don't specify url tags and the link is automatically parsed. This is a vBulletin problem and is not caused by my hack.

This is most likely caused by what I had to do to get it working with other hacks (such as vbAdvanced). Still trying to figure out how to avoid this.

Does that Addon works with ebay and amazon affilinet link rewrites?

and a limitation would be great, that only guest will be redirected thru the doorwaypage (with some small ads), could this be possible?

Fungsten 05-28-2007 12:08 AM

Using it on my test server.

You will have to change the execution orders of the plugin to 10.

No, but I just honestly don't have the time.

PlymWS 06-04-2007 10:12 AM

Excellent mod. Works first time. Thanks.

dope15gd 06-16-2007 07:11 PM

working perfectly for me. I ditched my other hack and am using this.

I do have a question: Are there any plans or a possibility of having this only work for certain forums? I am not sure how hard this is so I don't know if that is asking a lot.

anyway, thanks for this.

Possible, but not planned. Would an exclusion or inclusion be better?

SCRIPT3R 06-20-2007 11:26 PM

can this be set up to ignore bad links to avoid the following error?

Quote:

Unable to parse url in /includes/init.php(319) : eval()'d code on line 50

SCRIPT3R 06-23-2007 01:08 AM

also, i'm getting the double-referrer linking no matter what i do now. all screwed up on my forums. local addresses with www are still anonymized even though i've added .mydomain.com to the field. if i remove it, then anything mydomain.com is anonymized. very weird and i'm too tired to look into this anymore. uninstalling for now.

Dismounted 06-23-2007 03:19 AM

I've been testing it on my forums and everything works fine, what plugins do you have at postbit_display_complete?

just the two following...

Add Anonymizer Prefix
PHP Code:

$post['message'] = anonymize($post['message']);
$post['signature'] = anonymize($post['signature']);

Post Thank You Hank
PHP Code:

$this->post['post_thanks_thanked_times_on'] = $this->post['post_thanks_thanked_times'];
$this->post['post_thanks_thanked_posts_on'] = $this->post['post_thanks_thanked_posts'];
$this->post['post_thanks_user_amount'] = vb_number_format($this->post['post_thanks_user_amount']);
$this->post['post_thanks_thanked_times'] = vb_number_format($this->post['post_thanks_thanked_times']);
$this->post['post_thanks_thanked_posts'] = vb_number_format($this->post['post_thanks_thanked_posts']);

Hmmm, try disabling the plugin created by this hack which is hooked at bbcode_parse.

that appears to have worked, thnx!

Dismounted 06-25-2007 06:48 AM

Cool, glad it's sorted. Anyone that's having this problem as well, try what I posted above.

DaNIEL MeNTED 06-27-2007 11:16 AM

this anonymized link -

http://www.domain.com/forums/redirec...ml%3Fref%3Drss

results in -

Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forums/redirector.php could not be found on this server.

The actual URL ends with ?ref=rss - if I remove that it works, but its being put in as part of a newsfeed.

DaNIEL MeNTED 06-27-2007 11:19 AM

in fact if I remove the ? it works...

so:

http://www.domain.com/forums/redirec...ml%3Fref%3Drss

without the %3F works with the anonymizer (but generates a 404...) - it looks like the ? is at fault.

I tried uninstalling an reinstalling the latest version just to be safe...

mrahul 08-02-2007 05:20 AM

which attachment should be downloaded to get it to work in 3.6.4 ?

Dismounted 08-02-2007 06:34 AM

They all work for 3.6.x. I just an archive of old versions there. So use 2.7 (the newest one).

SCRIPT3R 08-07-2007 07:13 PM

Just wanted to share an idea I'm using on my forums; if a link is clicked by a Guest, the wait time is increased to 10 seconds and the link is no longer active (hyperlinked). We have a lot of problems with our forum threads being copied elsewhere and thus our site is embedded in links on these other forums so their members come and redirect through us. This extra time gives them some time to think about registerring at our site. I've also added a separate redirect page with some additonal info for Guests.

AKapadia 08-24-2007 03:37 PM

If I remember correctly, vBulletin only adds target="_blank" when linking to external sites, since redirector.php is internal, it will link into itself. I'll look at it when I get the time.

That is the HEX (base-16) code characters that may break the URL, such as ampersands. The string you quoted is actually three characters (two unique).
Code:

%3A = : (colon)
%2F = / (forward slash)

As per the previous post:
Code:

%3A = : (colon)
%2F = / (forward slash)

So it would be "://" (from http://).

You shouldn't change it, as you'll break the query string. It doesn't do any harm.
