I figured out that Plugin Based Template Cache will mess with this mod.

Disable that and this mod works pretty good :smoke:

TonicWater 01-01-2007 09:17 AM

thx for the hack. i would love if the hack would save my current mod, when i write an post. so that everybody can see what was my mood when i wrote this post.

Ok I take my post back. You don't necessarily have to keep the "Plugin Based Template Cache" (PBTC) disabled.

But to keep using the PBTC you need to do a few things. You have to disable the PBTC cache, delete the files it created (in directory forums/templates) then reload a page with the welcomebit on it.....I actually reloaded several times to be sure that the new welcomebit info got put into the DB cache.

Once you're pretty sure that the new DB cache is updated with this mod then turn back on the Plugin Based Template Cache.

It's working for me now

To turn on/off PBTC go to [vBulletin Options >> Plugin Based Template Cache].

I dont have vBulletin Options >> Plugin Based Template Cache anywhere. wtf.

ThorstenA 01-01-2007 05:18 PM

is it possible to save mood status in profile field of users? This way there would be no database changes.

You don't need the TEmplate Cache thing for this to work so you know. So if you installed that under the impression it was needed you can remove it.

That I did. Any thoughts as to why this isnt working?

Exitilus 01-01-2007 11:06 PM

Go through and Re-Install it. Make sure you do the Navbar Template edit correctly as well.

gunitman247 01-01-2007 11:35 PM

ok done still the same. i dont think that ajaxx file you put ip is doing anything for me. forums path is correct.

Exitilus 01-02-2007 03:17 PM

You didn't replace your ajax.php with the one I posted did you. The purpose of the ajax.php I posted is if the Mood Manager doesn't work outside of the forums directory.

gunitman247 01-03-2007 01:40 AM

Exitilus 01-03-2007 02:32 AM

It could be other Hacks / Plugins interferring with the mood hack. I've run into a few here and there that stop this one from working.

thanks...

have you got psd format for image?
i want to change language

kjhkjh 01-17-2007 05:39 AM

very very nice hack,

i did turn off auto edit member info otherwise my mood was showing up twice in my profile.
Also at first i thought that there was a bug with the mod, because i couldn't see images, it seemed like it would hang, then i realised when i dragged and dropped the mood folder, i must have missed the images folder :)

after fixing my mistakes everything worked (still not sure about what the auto options do, but i'm happy with how it's working. This really is great.

You can modify it for your own board but not publish it here.

I hope to make the hack "supported" after I finish my last year at uni :) ending in April/May.

Users are welcome to leave ideas on improving the hack until then.

How do you get the Mood changer to show up under the PM's with vBa CMPS?

I am having the problem. It will show under the private messages but not any where else. No one else can see what your mood is. I have not seen how to fix this.
Thanks

JAYEMULE 02-03-2007 06:36 PM

Ok I went through and double checked everything. Didn't change a thing but now it's working fine :)

Thanks ;)

outlaw77 02-03-2007 10:59 PM

I have a quick question. I got this mod installed and working within my forums and added the portal global variables for vbacmps and the icon will show up and the drop down menu shows fine but if I change my mood it just says updating. What do I need to do?

verbs 02-04-2007 12:53 AM

Quick question, the mod works perfect everyone on the messageboard, except it doesn't work when I am logged on to my homepage. On the homepage I get a red X where my mood symbol should be, but on my forum index or any thread it works perfect. Any ideas?

afmarko99 02-11-2007 03:59 AM

I installed this mod and I can select my mood but how do I get the mood to show up in my shoutbox?

Ya I noticed it doesn't show up in the CMPS welcomebox. Anyone know what to edit?

dagummit 02-15-2007 06:14 AM

I am trying to install this mod... I am at the postbit/ postbit_legacy editing stage and the following code is nowhere to be found in the templates to be edited:
<div>
$vbphrase[posts]: $post[posts]
</div>

I am running 3.6.4... is this a problem?

ReQueM 02-15-2007 04:24 PM

thank you
