I was wondering if you could possibly add on to this mod. What im looking for is a way to put a border on the background that i could manually change from red, yellow to green depending on the amount of money that is in the paypal account?

What it is used for is a visual signal that the site is running low on funds and is in need of donations.

Im still on 3.5 but would be a nice addition for both 3.5 and up.

Yeah I will change that on the next version.

Remember that this was origionaly made for my own site, so it made sense to have that there.

Same with the php file names, I would change them to something a little more generic but then it may cause a few hassles for people when they upgrade.

But on the bright side, the database entrys are nice and generic in the next version :)

I have the basics working such as insert IPN data, and recording total donations per doner, but I may need a little assistance on the tricky stuff such as Goals. :)

is it possible to add to this hack.. on the donate page.. a bar graph showing your goal in donations.. and your progress up the bar graph.. yet.. have it automatically increase when you make a donation .. BUT .. only increase after it completes all info on the donation page.. amount, account, and have it calculate for the account type.. whether is a personal or business account?.. for instance.. you fill in the amount.. your account info..then select whether it's business or personal account.. then hit donate.. .. the script calculates based on personal or business how much will be added to the fund.. then applies to your progress on the donation bar graph how much you added + what was already there thus increasing your progress on the bargraph.. all automatically? (and perhaps sends an email or PM to someone .. specified by userid.. informing of the donation).

Donation goals are planned for a future version.
Not sure when, but it wont be the next release.

The PayPal account holder gets an email from PayPal for every donation by default.

Not currently.

However its a simple job to to a quick hack to allow do this if you have moderate HTML skills.
All you need to is edit the bills_donate template and add a dropdown box for currency selection. (you will need to add the currency codes here. eg AUD, CAD, AU)
Just make sure that the variable name that you use for this is the same as the one I use and It will get submitted to Paypal with the rest. :)

I'm 99.9% sure that paypal does this for you automatically anyway, so you just need some sort of converter to tell you before you donate how much you're giving them in your currency, and that will change everyday according to the value of the dollar :)

Yes this works fine up to 3.6.4 (at least)
However, I recomment that you use the 3.6 version as it has a couple of minor changes over this 3.5 version.

2 days? I had it installed for about 5 minutes and had many problems, so i uninstalled quickly. Would really like to see something where it gives the members stats on donations, who donated, how much etc.

How do I delete templates installed by this hack as it seems to be not possible?

templates are:
- billspp_buttoninsert
- billspp_donated
- billspp_main
- billspp_navinsert

De-installing the product doesn't help.

There is currently no uninstall code in the product.
I should add that I spose...

Anyhow to manually delete a template,

Goto your AdminCP -> Styles and Templates Manager -> select the template you wish to 'delete' and click on 'Revert'.

I tried the manual de-installation before I posted here.

The ‘revert’ button doesn't work until you updated some code or deleted the content within the template. If you press the ‘revert’ button (what is possible only after updating the template), it reverts back to the original template. In other words, the template doesn’t disappear as expected. Therefore I believe, that vBulletin treats your templates as originals.

I will wait for your update, what will ultimately make your work perfect.
