How can I remove a timeslip from the database ?

You can just look up the member's profile in the AdminCP, and edit all of their vehicle profile information from there. You can also set it so that a particular user doesn't have access to their vehicle profile any longer.

:(

I took another look @ the hack and have plans to create tables for the data vs. use profile fields, multi records, more as I redo the hack. Once I get a good chunk of the core of the program working I will set up a thread to do some beta testing of upgrade, new install, and feedback.

Sidewindr 07-19-2006 03:08 AM

Put me down for the beta program ;)

Tungsten 07-21-2006 03:21 PM

Likewise please consider us for beta testing your code. And my offer to pay a fair fee for your efforts still stands. Our members would kill to have a good timeslip database again.

NathanLedet 07-21-2006 03:51 PM

I just installed this hack and so far it's great. However I do have one question. I would like for my users to be able to upload their timeslips. Where do the images upload to? If they upload to the MySQL Database, I need to know how to change this so that images are uploaded to a folder in my file storage system.

In vBulletin, in the Admin panel there is the Attachments link...i made all adjustments on that so that when people upload images in a regular thread, it uploads to a specified folder. Does the TimeSlips db automatically download to this folder? or am i going to need to modify some code. Thanks for help :)

edit: I tried to upload an image to do some testing. The image i tried to upload was too big. It directed me to the proper error message telling me that my image was too big..but the message was incorrect:

"The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is $maxsize bytes."

What do i need to do to fix that?

has anyone tried a clean install of this into vB 3.6? We do not currently have it installed but would like it.

Marsupilami 08-06-2006 02:37 AM

Very nice!

Just installed this on vb 3.5.5 and it went rather smooth.

Some requests though:
Why not support metric data? In Sweden and neighbour countries we use km/h (KMH), instead of MPH. Nice if one could select between MPH and KMH, and have entered data converted.
And why not support additional fields, like ET and speed on "standing kilometer", 0-60MPH and such.

Good idea :D

Marsupilami 08-06-2006 05:11 PM

Another request: Some users want to enter 1/8 Mile ET only, and skip the 1/4 Mile time.
But when doing so, the time will not come up in the list.

I guess it makes averaging more difficult to handle also?

Can it be so that if 0.000 is entered in the vehicle profile, then the list will show the value as -.--- or something, and not use that value for the site average?

Is the value 0.000 excempt from the "must upload slip" requirement on lower ETs?

SilentNoise 08-08-2006 05:16 AM

Put me on the Beta program too if you're lookign for testers

I upgraded to 3.6, and now I get database errors when I try to go to timeslips.php

I tried to uninstall the product, and re-install the xml, but I get a similar error.

Invalid SQL:
SELECT COUNT(*) AS users
FROM user AS user, userfield AS userfield

WHERE userfield.field55>0
AND user.userid = userfield.userid;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'userfield.field55' in 'where clause'
Error Number : 1054

After upgrading to 3.6 from 3.5.3, I've found that I can go to the timeslips page, but when you click on "Details" or a person's username, you get the error seen above.

Also, when you go to edit your info, there's no titles over the info boxes that you have to type in, so you have no idea what you should enter where.... not sure if you can actually submit new info. I haven't bothered trying just yet.

All of that stuff is currently editable with the current version, but it would be a nice feature to have a conversion in the new version :)

Marsupilami 08-09-2006 06:22 PM

I edited the MPH into KMH, and changed wheel HP into engine HP, and also did a translation into Swedish with a tiny "language pack". Anyone for a Swedish translation? ;)

upsetter 08-15-2006 06:39 AM

when will this be available for the 3.6.0 I could realy use this for my new forum, http://boostconcept.com/forum/

So if I go ahead and upgrade to 3.6 the timeslip database still shows up its just has an error if you go to the details of a certain user?

Puntoboy 08-22-2006 05:36 PM

i got this error when uploading the XML file

Code:

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in c:\domains\puntosports.co.uk\wwwroot\forums\admincp\plugin.php(1239) : eval()'d code on line 5

This mod is not really supported it was a stopgap while some bright spark rewrote it, it looks like Zachariah is that bright spark :)

Yep! And we thank him for that.

If i only had the time i would do the 3.6.0 conversion myself, since the timeslip database is a much apreciated addition to our forum.

What if i or somebody else would do the job - What is really missing to get this to work in 3.6.0?

Seems to be a change in the vb database structure that must be adapted to. Is it the only thing that needs to be done for it to work?

Has anyone else done some work on this so far?

Zachariah 08-23-2006 06:36 PM

To tide over all the people that want it. I will do a strait convert and cleanup of bugs. Later on create the better hack w/ options to import the data from this one.

I want to move this to it's own table or two to allow multi entries, cars, custom fields, what ever we can think of.

Sidewindr
PMed me to help on re-code.
There should be something to play with soon.

There has been a change to the user profile fields structure which is the biggest problem with the old stop gap mod on vb 3.6.0.

tommyxv 08-25-2006 12:45 AM

Yes, using tables is much better that profile fields. :)

MustangLisa 08-25-2006 02:15 AM

Can't wait to see this for 3.6!

Tru2Chevy 08-25-2006 01:36 PM

Waiting patiently for the 3.6.x version....and can't wait to see your finished product. :)

SVT242 08-26-2006 08:34 AM

I concur!:) :knockedout:

92GreenGT 08-28-2006 04:07 PM

Indeed, infact im waiting to install 3.6 just becuase of this. Keep up the good work guys. Free bump

tommyxv 08-31-2006 05:47 AM

Bump. :)

92GreenGT 09-01-2006 03:27 AM

Has anyone installed this on 3.6.x and went back and readded the code to the templates and stuff? I readded the link to the Timeslip database and everything works but the details section. Maybe if I added the rest of the code im supposed to it will?
-Edit-
Everything works the same, I can still add and change my slips just cant view the details of them. Hmm, I thought it woudlnt work at all, this will hold me over till they fix it.:)

SVT242 09-05-2006 06:48 PM

TTT :beard:

tommyxv 09-06-2006 09:58 AM

Waiting for version that uses database tables instead of profile fields. :)
