yeah it works but some other mod might be conflicting with it...i had to uninstall cause of that but i run it on 3.6.0 for months

@ rob20uk i doubt it will cause on 3.6.0 it had a hard time to work properly

A shame this is not updated with 3.6.8 or even with 3.7 :/

Guess its time to uninstall this one until it can be updated again.

I have installed both mods : plugin accelerator and Compress Forum Templates; I got the following error :
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/public_html/vb/includes/init.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/public_html/vb/global.php on line 20

and this error:

Warning: main(/home/public_html/vb/includes/init.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/public_html/vb/global.php on line 20

Any idea where I went wrong ?

edit your config.php and uncomment this line (remove the leading //)
then goto your admincp and disable both mods.

You are using vB 3.8.2 but those mods are for 3.5 or any other older version! That's why you get those erros. You can use vB Optimise instead.

that solved the permissions issues;
however when accessing the Admin CP it shows the main page blank WITHOUT any icons; like forum options, members, products etc.....

I dowloaded fresh copy of 3.8.2;
reploaded all files (just like the usual version upgrade)
2 things are happenings :
1. when I run www.?????? /vb/install/upgrade.php
I get this error:
Fatal error: Could not open /home/public_html/vb/includes/xml/bitfield_vbulletin.xml in /home/public_html/vb/includes/class_bitfield_builder.php on line 130

2. Admin CP has no controls/icons to disable mods as I said earlier.
