Like I said above, this will be fixed in a bug fix release in the next couple days. :) (Forgot to switch the jukebox_mediadisplay_full to vJukebox product :p)

Sorry to bring this up:
But, if anyone could help me out in my financial aspect, just donate a couple dollars if you like the mod and want to see it to continue to grow. Anyone that donates a dollar amount of ~5+ dollars can remove all copyright notices within the program for a lifetime. The Paypal donate button is at the bottom of the first post. I would be eternally grateful for your support.

Thank You,

Cole.

Ok, third time I am going to ask this hopefully no one will be rude and will actually answer me. Websites are going to get shut down if people are downloading music. Tu comprende?

what does downloading has to do with the jukebox?

2. its tu comprends :p not tu comprende unless your speaking spanish

cd1986 02-03-2006 12:08 PM

If users can play copyrighted songs from the jukebox (not able to download them) is that considered a "public performance" of the track that requires a licence?

that could be an issue...

forumsoup.com 02-03-2006 09:01 PM

My media isnt appearing in the admin cp but its in the "media' folder in my FTP. How do I make it show?

ReadOrDie 02-04-2006 11:05 PM

Downloading music is illegal and sites get shut down for it. Apparently no one cares, so they will learn the hard way. Actions have consequences. And yes I was speaking spanish.

download and jukebox!?!

you can download stuff with jukebox? thats new didnt know

markbolyard 02-04-2006 11:35 PM

I believe he is refering to the fact that you host the music / video, and people can come to your site and download it, via the link displayed in the jukebox.

There are a few options for viewing the video / playing the music. One in an internal player, or two by clicking the link to open it in your external media play.

MissKalunji 02-04-2006 11:36 PM

thank you for explainning :) doesnt matter to me :p i only host dances on it anyways

markbolyard 02-04-2006 11:39 PM

Ahem, you really just want to get the last word in don't you ;)

BTW, remember me? (Inside joke)

Not only that but, on the Highest Rating Media part in firefox it offers a download. .

wdlove 02-04-2006 11:53 PM

Will be very anxious to hear when this goes into Beta.

lol yessssssssss!

forumsoup.com 02-05-2006 01:51 AM

Eh, I get this when I click on "Jukebox" on my nav bar: You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

How do I change permissions for the Jukebox?

markbolyard 02-05-2006 02:07 AM

Go to you admincp, edit your usergroups so that it rebuilts the bitfields. You can set your permissions for each usergroup there as well.

forumsoup.com 02-05-2006 02:11 AM

thank you so much.

markbolyard 02-05-2006 02:14 AM

Sure, if you need anything else, let me know.

forumsoup.com 02-05-2006 04:09 AM

Great program! Few things that are a MUST for the next version!

-Categories Selection (So that not every single media file is in one section only)
-BIGGER view size when watching movies (the pop up full size doesnt work, at least for me it doesnt)

That's what I can think of so far.

Oddjob 02-05-2006 05:25 AM

I am getting this error "Could not find phrase 'jukebox_mediaupdatedsuccessfully'."

Help.

ReadOrDie 02-05-2006 11:50 PM

I can't wait till people start complaining that their site has been shut down. All I'll say is "I told you so!"

Thats so nice to say....

wdlove 02-06-2006 12:46 AM

Thanks very much for the update.

nitro 02-07-2006 03:37 AM

Does this generate playlists or similar for the media files ?

Like a member could select sveral songs which are all streamed sealessly in turn.

wdlove 02-07-2006 08:03 PM

I hope that the Beta will be soon. Do you have a timetable? Also the final build?

forumsoup.com 02-07-2006 09:02 PM

I put this on my site, love it, and clicked installed. Thanks!

wdlove 02-07-2006 09:26 PM

That is very encouraging news, thanks.

Does this mod stream media or does it actually let the user download the music? If it's streaming only, then no, no one will be shutdown.

I'm always forgetting those small things.

I just changed how the system reports errors and I didn't fix that on the mysql end yet. But, basically that means that your directory is not CHMOD'ED 777 (Which is "yourforumroot/media" by default)

As for the "downloading question", no, this only streams.

nitro 02-09-2006 03:22 AM

Thought I would give it a trial on a test install seemed to install fine.

Doesnt like filenames with spaces tho. wmp seems to throw a wobbly and say cant play. Maybe it needs to somehow replace spaces with %20 ?

So immature you have to call people idiots? I'm just stating facts, music downloading is illegal. And yes, it offers people downloading in firefox.

bashy 02-10-2006 05:19 AM

Warning: Division by zero in /includes/functions.php(4320) : eval()'d code on line 88
