I"ve done some beta testing for Uae's vbpager a while back, and we've been using ucash/ushop for a while. My members are pretty experienced as to how it is supposed to work. I guess I'd be willing to help you guys figure out the bugs.

It will be able to upgrade from 1.1.1, but ONLY the latest version available here on vB.org (which will be taken down once uCS is released).

I have completed the installer, and am passing the word around to developers for them to Update their files and test it out.
This installer will be able to upgrade from uCash 1.1.0 (not RC's), but it will NOT be able to carry over your uShop tables from vBulletin 3.0. This is due to the version checking system issues.
You are advised to remove uShop tables from your database before attempting to run this installer, because no error checking code exists that will prevent SQL errors.
Notice of this will be posted in the release thread as well, just saying it right now as well.
This version has been branded internally as 2.00 Beta 1, and will be released as 2.01. The major bump in the version number is due to the fact that this is the first version on vB3.5 that features both hacks bundled, as well as numerous fixes for exploits and annoyances found in older versions.
No estimated release date exists as of yet.

Good to hear things are getting together. Keep up the good job!

JsnakeJ 01-12-2006 06:18 PM

dnlister 01-12-2006 10:28 PM

Well done guys, keep up the great work.

Its amazeing that you already have an installer almost done and are ready for testers shortly. Kepp up the great pace!

Very good... thx.

I'll just uninstall the old one, I prefer to start fresh anyhow.

Really looking forward to this.

trackpads 01-14-2006 04:29 PM

Thanks Revan!!

Hornstar 01-15-2006 03:25 AM

I'm also a user that loves testing out hacks and will give it a go on my boards and my users will be able to give it a really good test, as thats all they seem to request these days lol. I'm using 3.5.2 and will be upgrading to 3.5.3 shortly. My site is www.gamerzneeds.net/forums/

Thanks and hopes to be a beta test of this wonderful hack ^^

Xplorer4x4 01-15-2006 03:29 AM

I would be willing to test it as well at www.domsforums.net

Ky Kiske 01-15-2006 08:56 PM

I am also willing to help with the Beta Testing at www.thesato.com

evenmonkeys 01-16-2006 04:10 AM

I'm willing to help with this in any way that I can. My website, http://section02.com, is available for beta testing, and I'll be more than happy to test the board of yours. Let me know how I can help.

Snake 01-16-2006 09:36 AM

Oh I would love to beta test it at my forums www.metalgearforums.com.

Gayble 01-16-2006 10:26 AM

I would love to test it at http://www.hostaddicts.com

Anyways, I'm glad this hasn't been abandoned! :) Keep up the good work guys! ;)

djjeffa 01-16-2006 10:46 AM

didn read all these pages but if your looking for testers I have a active site with over 20,000 members @ www.djjeffa.com

Asi9ine 01-16-2006 11:16 AM

Requirements:

- Sites should be UNDER 5,000 members. Over-activity will flood our Bug reports with spam and useless nonsense. We don't want that.

- Sites should be run by competent coders. If you have NO experience of using vBulletin 3.0, then we do not require your services. Not meaning to be rude, but anybody can install plugins. Not as many can find a piece of code in a file and edit it to their needs. I am saying this because if we need an error report, we don't want,

"OMG MY FORUMZ R BROKE"

We would like

"Well, there is an error in the bank cache in ushop.php in line 210"

See the difference? Exactly. We are looking for experienced coders to work with on this.

Please apply via PM. We will announce the forum addresses where the tests shall take place when the Beta product is finished and the 3 spots filled. None filled so far.

I just want to volunteer for the Gold version, no problem with testing that one :) :) :)

GO AWAY! I swear I am going to ask for your banning. And maybe try to stop you having future uShop versions. I have never been so irritated by ignorance and lack of intelligence. English being a less-than-fluent language really doesn't help you in this case.

To trackpads: I will send you a PM.

Alteran Ancient 01-16-2006 07:55 PM

I am avaliable to assist in the testing of uShop. My site has just under 100 members, so that gives a good number, and I'm quite good with coding.

Snake 01-16-2006 07:58 PM

And here we go... :D

Sooner95 01-16-2006 08:47 PM

Well, i will pull my site out of the testing..lol I'm good with the vb software ect..but not very good at reporting bugs in code. I'l leave it the pros and kick back and wait.

Thanks!

JsnakeJ 01-16-2006 08:49 PM

I'm still down for that test spot right? ;)

proxx 01-17-2006 05:02 AM

I just made a $25 donation.

I just wanted to tell everyone to try to donate as much as you can. I am sure even $5 would be helpful in motivating the programmers.

Looking forward to this hack.

romow 01-17-2006 05:24 AM

thanks for all you guys' work!!

slank 01-17-2006 03:47 PM

i'm good with coding php and sql so i can test the code etc, i run two forums and a test board, i can also say i am very good at breaking things in rder to find flaws to fix, so i'll be happy to help

I will donate $5. :)

Btw, my site has about 350 members imported from phpBB. There are about 50 regular posters. Does this qualify?

Asi9ine 01-18-2006 05:36 PM

I have left the uShop project, and I have pulled out of buying the project out. For those of you that know me, you will be able to understand why. For those of you that do not, contact Revan on how to replace me. It is not due to differences in the project: I still hope to get on well with Revan and Tyler, but for now I have decided to stop coming here. PM Revan if you wish to join the project in my place.

Red Blaze 01-18-2006 05:46 PM

I had a funny feeling it would come to something like this. Does this mean the project is on pause again?

proxx 01-18-2006 06:03 PM

ya, its kind of rediculous ... vbulletin community should be ashamed that vb still doesn't have a good shop hack ... IPB has had it for a while now ...

Red Blaze 01-18-2006 06:20 PM

Actually, VB shouldn't be ashamed of anything. It's still making money (I assume). It would eventually be released. I was still going to uninstall it once Zero Tolerance completes Inferno RPG (which won't be any time soon, btw).

TyleR 01-18-2006 06:55 PM

No, the uCash/uShop development hasnt paused at all..we still have 3 people working on it (me, Revan, and PixelFx). Nothing has stopped.

No hard feelings, Kris.

- Tyler

Decado 01-18-2006 08:36 PM

Just a side note that rpg inferno is complete, its just constantly under updating, the current version is complete and stable.

Good luck with finishing off the ushop project, it can't be easy working in a team that changes weekly.
