No, it doesn't show referrals for the other members.

Ι meant if the other users it displays normally have referrers but they are not displayed due to a cut-off date setting.

jplg 05-30-2006 09:35 PM

I pasted the other php file, it works now, first members appear with the referral number just for a certain period. this is what I wanted :)

I don't understand why they appear others with 0 referrals? no one invited them on the page :)

Lea Verou 05-30-2006 09:52 PM

Since it works fine you could click install :)

I'm not sure what you mean. If you look at my referers page you can see what I mean. The cut-off setting was set for May 23. I want the system to simply show the users who have referred someone since that date.

Ok, let's make it clearer:
I'm asking a question that will help me determine what your problem is.
The question is "if you go to one of those members' profile, will the referral count be zero? Or they do have referrers but these referrers have registered before May 23rd?".
Undestood now? (say yes, say yes!)

agiacosa 05-31-2006 01:42 AM

The referral count shows correct in the user profile. These referrals happened before May 23.

The problem is in the display for referrers.php. It shows the people who have referred after May 23 correctly. BUT then it puts a bunch of members who have not referred anybody after May 23. It gives all of them the same ranking and shows 0 referrals. It's about 12 pages of members.

Lea Verou 05-31-2006 01:48 AM

Wait, I'll try to fix it. I think I know what causes this...

Lea Verou 05-31-2006 01:52 AM

Tell me if this one works, I haven't tried it. Also I'm not sure I edited the correct one referrers.php. No time to check. The only difference is in line 183.

agiacosa 05-31-2006 02:09 AM

Nope. Now I only show 1 referrer who registered after May 23 and who referred 1 person. The existing users who registered before May 23 and referred after May 23 are not showing.

Lea Verou 05-31-2006 02:11 AM

Yeah, I edited the wrong file. Wait another 5 minutes.

Lea Verou 05-31-2006 02:13 AM

Now?

agiacosa 05-31-2006 09:24 AM

OK thanks. Now it shows only the ones that have referred after May 23. However, it still gives the pagination for 12 pages. Except for the first, the other pages are blank.

Lea Verou 05-31-2006 10:25 AM

That's quite easy to fix too (IIRC the code). Will do that later :)

hitmanuk2k 06-06-2006 01:06 PM

When I try to only show referrals from the last week, it continues to show them as if I didn't put a date.

buyinflatables 06-10-2006 03:36 AM

Does anyone know if this works on 3.5.4?

Thank you

Tim

This is exactly what I needed, it is like you read my mind. Thanks for this one!

I clicked on install.

http://thephotostation.net/forums/referrers.php

MissKalunji 06-16-2006 12:53 PM

Installed and working perfectly! exacly what i needed keep it up Michelle

kevinrstruck 06-16-2006 06:35 PM

All of the sudden I am getting this error when I bring up the page.

Any idea what to do?

Code:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 163

Warning: arsort() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /referrers.php on line 173

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 174

kevinrstruck 06-16-2006 06:43 PM

I figured it out. I had a cut off date and the istructions say you need to use

dd-mm-yyyy that caused the error. SO I tried mm-dd-yyyy and the errors are gone.

kevinrstruck 06-16-2006 06:45 PM

I take that back. THis is really strange but:

If I put a cutoff date in of 01-04-2006 (April 1, 2006) it works fine. If I put in a date of 01-05-2006 (may 1, 2006) I get the errors. IT seems that adding anything past April 1, 2006 in the cuttoff date gives me the error.

kevinrstruck 06-16-2006 07:06 PM

Also, no referrals are showing for anydate past April 29th.

Is there a CRON job that runs in VB that may not be functioning properly or something and that is affecting the output of this mod?

quickregister 06-19-2006 09:06 PM

Hi
I uploaded the file and I am getting this error
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 96

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 103

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 117

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 124

Also I signed up for a test account from a referrer link from one of my other accounts and the activity did not show up.

See http://www.thefreeadforum.com/vbull/referrers.php

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

I too am having exactly the same problems as you. The last paragraph of your post has me completely baffled???! The first thread of what and where?

This mod would be exactly what I need if I could get it to do anything!

LICryptkeeper 07-25-2006 11:16 PM

Hi, I haven't gone through each post, so I do not know if this has already been suggested, but how about an addendum of a points module?

ie: in admincp you can set refferal=Xpoints, and refferalpost=Xpoint.

therefore if I set one to 10 and the other to 1, I have 2 refferals, and my refferals posts totall 200 posts, and my friend has 10 refferals and each has 2 posts, I would have 220 points, and my friend would have 120.

i think that would be an easier way to sort it out, ouinon?

cryptkeeper (10034 pts)
user2 (9945 pts)
user3 (8945 pts)
user4 (45 pts)
user5 (5 pts)

just as an addon, next to your name have the points.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 96

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 103

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /referrers.php on line 117

What do you do to sort it?

Sure, just find the template USERCP_SHELL and add the appropriate line in the navigation :)
Find
Code:

<if condition="$show['siglink']">
put after
Code:

<tr>
                <td class="$navclass[signature]" nowrap><a class="smallfont" href="referrers.php">Referral Statistics</a></td>
        </tr>

That's how I did it anyway, may be sloppy I dunno.

Michelle where can I find the code so I can change

This one fixes the date issue.

But it still shows everyone with 0 referrals. It will do for now ;)

Thanks
