Very useful .. installed with no problems .. thanks.
Clicked install :) |
Interesting...I'll have to take a look at this.

That is pretty sweet!
Thanks for sharing the code :) *goes off to install* |
Nice work! The concept is great!
Nevertheless I would like to see this a bit extended with multiple pages support, something I believe is indispensable for tutorials. I suppose that isn't possible, is it? |

Thanks! I guess I'll install it because I rather have a simpler and extendable system than a buggy hackable source of problems like vBArticles.
update: easy installation, no problems at all. *Clicks install* Thanks again =) |
Awesome! Just what our little starting-out site needed. A place to organize our how to articles, while keeping them in the forums our users know and love!

The only problems I am having with this are purely practical. Some have been discussed before but I'd like to just reiterate some points here. I realize this will probably have to be done by myself...but maybe others have the same needs.
1. There should be some options for the byline. "Written by" is not correct when, say, you post press releases or news from a public source ("posted by" would be more appropriate in those situations). 2. It would really be nice to have a way to separate the introduction from the main article, so that the introduction could be shown on the front page without the rest of the text 3. A nice hack to pull the headlines and introductions to the front page as in vBadvanced, but on a separate news page (so that a link with "News" would be appropriate in the navbar), would be awesome. Just some ideas...I may have heavier needs than most here but I still find the Geek Article "System" ;) to be a simple and efficient way to allow people to post news. |
One more thing....
4. A way to quote a source and provide a link to the source |
These are some good ideas that I will look into implimenting with the next version (that supports multiple pages).
I especially like the introduction ability. |
