this mod can hide forum category(X) in forumhome?

Spangle 08-30-2013 09:19 AM

I using VB 4.2.1 The tab + button is interfering with the forum titles, can it be moved to the same area as the rss button, or at least moved so that it doesn't interfere with the forum titles

Yes, you can hide the categories and forums you want. You can have the same forum and category appear in different tabs if you want. :)

They should appear there. Maybe there is a slight issue with your CSS styling, or perhaps the styling you are using is casuing an overlapping or 'new line' unexpectedly. If you get chance, can you PM me here or at dragonbyte-tech.com (my username is Mokonzi) a link to your site so I can take a look at the CSS myself? :)

Hi, I recently installed this plug-in on my 4.2.0 forum, i'm actualy trying to build up a community forum for me and some of my friend so i'm a beginner with this kind of plug-in. I tried to create different categories for our forum, but I don't know how to show different content for each categories, I searched in the user guide available here : https://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/docs/forumtabs and didn't find out any solution for my issue, does anybody know a solution to show different content for two different categories? Here's screens to see my issue:

P.S. I'm usualy speaking french, sorry if I did some mistakes in my sentences

It looks like you have categories and tabs setup. The following bits of information might help:

The first tab is the 'All Forums' tab and will display everything. The Favourites tab will only display what favourites a user has selected.

The way the system works, when a user first goes to the forums for their first visit, they will either see the default tab within a category, or they will be dropped to the first available tab, which is the All tab (which appears within any category, as does the Favourites tab).

Navigating through the other tabs within a category will change what the tab is that is displayed on their next visit.

The final thing to remember is that each AJAX tab that you create can be made 'global', which means it will appear in every category.

I hope this helps you figure out what you need to change. If you still need some help, PM me on my personal account at www.dragonbyte-tech.com (My username is Mokonzi) with some access details to your site including your Admin Control Panel, and how you want things organized, and I'll take a look and see what needs adjusting.

Are you using a modified style? It may mean that the templates for the mod need adjusting to match the settings for the custom style.

Update

Hotfix: PHP 5.4 Compatibility fixes

This does not guarantee the mod is error free on PHP 5.4, but it will take care of the reported errors. Thank you all for your reports :)
