I am looking to install a video chat 1 to 1 live webcam / webconference with 1 live video and users logging on to participate..

Is there a software out there that Can handle that and also be incorporated into VBulletin 4.08..

This Flash Chat 123 looks like it will do the trick, but I am worried from the comments..

I have a dedicated Server and I have full root access to my server..

I want my users to be able to talk to each other thru live video 1-1 webcams, and be able tos ession and set that up thru the chat room..

So is this the program Iw ant to go witha nd if not, what do Iw ant to look at getting...

I will pay for a license if its worth it and a known and well tested solution..

I dont wnat to ahve issues.. Sow ahts the bEST software out there for live video chat for VB 4 integration?

Well, 123FlashChat flash client has luxurious features and dazzling look, so it takes a while to load the skin, this is partially true but it only takes once, then it will be stored in cache and loads very fast ever since!
By the way, 123FlashChat 8.x loading speed has tremendously faster than before, you're strongly recommended to come back to upgrade.

Alternatively, 123FlashChat has a lite chat client, which is extremely fast in loading.

this connect with others servers .. right ?

well i suposse this just connect via your DB ..

but is a good option ;) !

Well 123FlashChat connects to its own Java server,
but it can integrate others user database, means that if you already have a vbulletin, then all your vbulletin users can enter the chat seamlessly, single sign-on, after the integration is done.
thank you!

Given that it took me to point out the gaping hole in their forum integration security, and the severity of these exploits if true, I have lost confidence in 123FC and will be switching to a different system. A bloody shame after so much work and my users like it, but weak security is simply not acceptable.

Dear hqarrse, I'm sorry to hear that you've switching to another system. Actually the security problem has been fixed long time ago in version 7.8 and 8.x, please request the updated files by writing to support@123flashchat.com if you are still interested.
Thank you!

Well hqarrse,
if you're using free hosted chat bound with vbulletin module of 123flashchat, you don't have to worry about the security problem because we host the java server and already fixed the problem at our end;
if you're using a paid license or hosting chat, you may write to us to request the updated server file to fix it instantly.
So in either case it's not a problem any more, please stay with us!

I wasn't. I was using two paid licenses to run my own chat servers. I have since switched to cometchat (great for small forums) and parachat (java applet which is a pain) but I feel much more confident even though I preferred your chat client.

When I requested an upgrade (the license.dat etc) for my 7.7 server I was refused and told that my license would only work with 7.7 even though less than a year old.

When I posted about the security flaw in the VB integration in the 123FC forum, the post was deleted and the problem not addressed.

You got my money twice - not again!

My recommendation to others is to stay well clear of 123FC.

.

Sorry! Sorry! Sorry!
I should have let my colleague know that you're VIP and shall get upgrade package freely!
(Because 8.0 is totally rewritten by Flex and a brand new product, we charge upgrade fee for regular users.)
Please PM me your billing email address so that we can send you the upgrade, or, let me know your ticket ID, or you may attach your vbulletin username "hqarrse" when communicating with us.
You're a friend we hate to lose, we can offer one more year free upgrade if you need.
