I have added /forum/ into url in .htaccess file.
Now everything looks okay.

My last question, how offen bots downloading sitemap? They are takeing 'sitemap_x.xml.gz' files also?

I changed the php "settings max_execution_time" to 60 and now it's working fine

Including the file name triggers the addon but I get a database error. I'll forward the exact error when I can get hold of it. Is this a mysql user permissions issue?

the installation instructions are included in the package file. Optional "extra-urls.txt" file can be used in case if you want to include other URLs in sitemap.

if you have any files inside data/ folder, you might need to change the permissions for them to 0666.

Yes, looks ok.Usually the sitemap is checked soon after sitemap is regenerated daily, that may differ though. Bots will also download sitemap_X.xml.gz files.

is it possible to upgrade from 2.0 as i think i have the vb 3.6 version installed (or would i have to do a clean install?)

As a result of using either filename downloads or downloads2 I get a database error but it's not being mailed to me as dba and I'm trying to figure out why...
