Thats the same problem I had.

MiahBeSmokin420 03-30-2008 10:33 PM

humm thats weird

possiably because you do not have your forum in a folder but instead you have it in the root of your domain

meaning for example

yourdomain.com/index.php | is your forum
yourdomain.com/forum/index.php | is how i have mine

that could be the reason

cause i know if i go to mydomain.com/somepiclink.jpg
and if i mistype the link then it dose the same thing
but as long as the link is 100% pure then it goes to where i want it to

i guess if you have you forum in the root of your domain hosting then this will not work that well

i guess you could always make a new folder like lets say:

yourdomain.com/member/ then add the httacces file in there

but then that would change things to make it so they have to go to

yourdomain.com/member/there usename here

i dont kow what else to say about that sorry

Any idea's?

do this....

make a text document and put in this document the link to your forums

also add both domains in which you want to use or what not

then send it to me by pm or something and then ill get it to work for you

no garentees or what not but ill do what needs to be done if it will work for you i dont know some people cant use this cause they use windows servers but if you are using a linux server it should work fine

just send me that info and ill hook you up

also if you already have httacces files in your folder in which this will be added then send me them in a rar or zip file with the txt doc that way i can make sure you still have your current settings

Nope, no problem on a basic level. Works great. I just want to know what else I can do with it. :)
