i've got a good idea - each song that is picked up by this mod, should be put into the member's profile, in a list format.
There can then be a feature to meet other people, depending on the music type, artist, and song track.

Although, you would have to allow the member to delete entries - as sometimes i got porn videos on my winamp ^__^ - i don't want that showing on my site!

I think the latest version of ITunes can send an xml with the song info to a specified url... and I think winamp has a plugin that will do the same, no?

yes winamp has a plugin for this i am not good at coding but most of coders can do this easily also there is an old vb plugin example for this you can use it as a reference
