I've added a hotfix that should resolve this issue, and I've also resolved it on the MH website :)

Fillip

Do I need to reinstall & reupload myself, or did you do it yourself while you were checking it out?

Also, there have been some new bugs that came up after your fix.

They are:

- when I type a message on the shoutbox, it appears blank for a few seconds and then appears.

- When we go into threads we get the following new error (which was not present before this fix):
Code:

Warning: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in ..../includes/class_bbcode.php on line 2958
- Now no one can edit their posts anymore (gets stuck on loading when I press edit)

Please assist.

DragonByte Tech 02-28-2016 02:32 AM

It is not necessary for you to post the same issues in 3 different locations, it only makes it harder for me to assist you :)

Hello,

forums/dbtech/vbshout/includes/class_install.php appears to be missing!

I am pretty sure the file is there but for some reasons, the installation is not getting through. Any other ways to bypass this?

Thanks.

DragonByte Tech 02-29-2016 04:21 PM

Unfortunately not, it's required for installation. Please make sure you have uploaded the contents of the upload folder (and not the upload folder itself) to your forum folder, which appears to be forums.

Dear Fillip, please verify it yourself.

In that case it may be an issue with file permissions, I notice the various files have different file permissions.

The file needs to be readable by PHP in order to work.

I even tried changing the file permission as well, even 0777 doesn't work in my case :/

DragonByte Tech 02-29-2016 05:03 PM

Hmmm... Your site isn't vB5 is it? That's literally the only other reason I can think of...

Nope, vBulletin 4.2.3 :(

Do you want me to provide you with a test account to have a look at it?

Cheers

DragonByte Tech 02-29-2016 05:10 PM

I'll need an FTP and AdminCP account in order to look into this further, thanks :)

socialteenz 03-01-2016 04:17 PM

Hey, did you get time to look at my private message?

Thanks.

DragonByte Tech 03-01-2016 04:18 PM

Unfortunately Mondays are very busy for us so I did not get a chance to look at it (the brief period I did, vB.org was down due to the upgrade).

I will be looking at it later today.

DragonByte Tech 03-01-2016 06:30 PM

6.2.15 is a quick XML update to resolve an issue where the SB could get stuck loading.

Back to normal with this latest version - go figure :D

Hi When I try to upload the shoutbox why do I get this error message and what can I do to load the shoutbox without this error?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/hapi/public_html/dbtech/vbshout/includes/global.php on line 77

DragonByte Tech 03-03-2016 10:05 PM

Hi there,

Could you please upgrade to PHP 5.4 or newer? Older versions of PHP are not being given any further security patches and are subject to security risks.

Thanks!

vBShout v6.2.15 Patch Level 1

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where creating a chatroom using the "Create Chat" popup would produce an incorrect chat room title
  • Multiple other issues regarding chatroom creation and chatroom invitation have been resolved

Cody.9791 03-29-2016 01:37 AM

What steps do I need to take to upgrade from 6.2.11pl2 to v6.2.15 Patch Level 1?

DragonByte Tech 03-29-2016 01:38 AM

Hi there,

Same as you did when installing it; upload all files, import product XML file with Overwrite set to On :)

If there are any special upgrade instructions, there will be a new .txt file in the download with the special instructions - so always check for any new readme.txt files :)

Check the error console for any JS errors. You can open the error console via the F12 key (windows) or Cmd-Opt-I (Mac).

Can you make the SB accessible to guests and link me to your site so I can see this in action?

This is working as intended. This is a limitation of the Lite version, when you change your colour in the Lite version, all shouts will appear in the same colour. Only you will see this change.

M.Iftikhar 04-05-2016 02:00 PM

In Version 6.2.13 lite no limitation......why you set this limitation in version 6.2.15pl1?????

It was always intended to work this way :)

Alan_SP 04-06-2016 05:24 PM

Older versions could enable each user's messages to appear in the way that user choose. So shoutbox could be very colorful, depending on options users choose. As the second image clearly shows.

And that maybe was bug, but it looked much better than in version where all shouts look the same.
