i knwo that i dont want them to access all the files just certain ones and from what i see thats not possible ..unless u create a category in the DL's for each individual file...n thats just dumb

Is there a way that I can make the Updated Downloads auto-notification posts to be locked by default instead of open? I would rather people not post under the auto-post that DownloadsII creates to the forums.

I cant seem to find in the template MEMBERINFO where to put the first "$dmemberinfo" thats needed for stats to show. I am running VB version 3.7.1 and when I search the template I come up with nothing. Please help! Ive tried searching all different kind of ways. Apparently the template has changed alot in 3.7.1 and what you search for in the template of MEMBERINFO needs to be changed or updated so you can find where to place the first $dmemberinfo at???

Great Mod! Had it working in 3.6.10 before upgrading and rebuilding forum with version 3.7.1.

Still trying to figure out a smoother method of the auto-post notification thing.
I just don't want users to post within the updated thread auto-posts... unless I totally move the thread location elsewhere that has permissions set... but then it wouldn't be with the whole area for discussion and would become confusing.

Is there a way to get rid of the Author field on both the input and presentation pages? The way I plan to use this MOD in my forums will have the author and person uploading the files as the same person, so I do not need the Author field. For my application it confuses my users.

How do I remove the Author input field so it doesn't show in the input form and change the text to show Submitted By on the presentation page?

Lastly, is there a way to allow for multiple attachments on the same item. For example, I plan to use this MOD to allow my members to contribute GPS files. There are several formats for GPS files, so many of my members submit a file in one format, while the next member will convert the file to another format and contribute it to my site. This produces multiple files for the same area but in different file formats. I would like the ability to have a topic in the Downloads that has several files (not images) attached to it and allow those to be submitted by different members. Is that possible with this MOD? With some minor changes to the MOD is it possible?

I was thinking and a suggestion to add to this great mod would be the ability to add custom fields to the input/presentation forms. That change would really open up this MOD to be used for many "other" applications. :)

My guess on the reason why no one has responded is because this question has been asked numerous times. Just look through the replies and you'll find the answer.

Now a weird issue...

When I tried to upload files, it seems that some files are possible, while others are not. And the only way that I could try to upload files for those that can't is by using the linking, instead of upload function...

If persistent to use the upload functions, then it will trigger the security token error.

Is it because the file size are huge?

Can we modify the downloads index page, to include a banner above the title bit ( Navigation )

Would rather ask than just do.
Please indicate which template and where we should add code.

mame, its very easy to install this mods. Doesnt required to be a coder to get this mods working. You should give it a try

Whenever I try to add an image it says:

Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismatched.

If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error.

Also the number of files in one of my categories randomly changed to a ridiculous number. Any ideas?

For me no error and working as a charme .
already user's familarise with this great hack .

I think you should wait with that:/ i was thinking the same aswell but rsjelle will release a new version end of this month. So lets cross fingers that he include some most wanted features like rss and download manager support

also i dont think you can allow other coders to alter this mods without rsjelle and cyberangers permission. would be copyright violation.

It's my understanding you can edit the mods all you want, you just can't make them available for download without their permission.
