does this mean the latest downloadable version of vbArcade (2.7.2) doesn't work out of the box with the latest version of VB ? (4.2 ? )

I'd rather just wait for him to update it...if he ever does. That seems like a lot of manual updates.

*** EDIT ***

Hippy -
Spoke with my hosts and Rewrite mode is available and ON, must be written directly via htaccess

we did that and still nothing ?
will peeks agan tomorrow

TheChief 06-03-2012 05:42 PM

has anyone had any issues with the scores being recorded when they upgraded to 4.2?

The games all work fine but the highscores don't register and it sits on the same page doing nothing until you refresh or head back to the forum

Hippy 06-03-2012 05:51 PM

did you try this ?
do you use forum or suite

you have or added the .htaccess ?

as per
edit your .htaccess If you have one

add

Code:

  # Send hardcoded ipa scores to arcade instead
  RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} act=Arcade [OR]
  RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} autocom=arcade
  RewriteRule ^index.php arcade.php [L,QSA]

under
Code:

  RewriteEngine on
if you don't have a .htaccess file ,make one and add this to it and upload to your root dir

Code:

  RewriteEngine on

  # Send hardcoded ipa scores to arcade instead
  RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} act=Arcade [OR]
  RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} autocom=arcade
  RewriteRule ^index.php arcade.php [L,QSA]

if your RewriteEngine is not one this will not work
ask your host to enable it

Hey Chief,

Read the last 10+ replies before your post and you'll see I am having the same problem.
Included in the replies are some fixes that I have tried and that Hippy has suggested.

Try them, so far none have worked for me mate as I still have no score posting page, it goes default to the new damn streaming / activity page NOT index.php = index.php doesn't exist anymore!

Try your domain and then index like so = www.mydomain.com/index.php

you'll see the index.php directs you now to the streaming page * activity.php* where ibProarcade relies upon index.php

This is the problem I think. I have tried editing the file myself to point to different locations and it takes me to all other pages including custom pages I have made, but NOT to the submit score page..

Hopefully they will fix this to work with VB v 4.2 ASAP as it does NOT work right now. :(

Go into your navigation manager. Click on forum. Then the drop window set as default this will also it from redirecting to the activity stream. This has been the first arcade I didn't fix in a couple tries..I think there is more going on there with server configuration... I have update forums / suites with what I posted and all are working.. with the htaccss resort /rewrite ..

so i'm guessing it doesn't work out of the box with the latest version.

Is he gonna hop on anytime and make an update ? seems like a lot needs updating.

I shall keep the arcade disabled until then.
