correct? Instead it is adding
PHP Code:

[url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgnL5oJvk0E[/url]

which gives only a url link. This is using 1.8 and that is of course as I explained after I fully uninstalled 1.5. The option in the ACP "Show the download link?" is set to "No" but I tried it both ways.

Hope that helps explain it better.

Just post the link and hit reply. No need for url tags.

Show the download link is an old setting for the classic style. I'm still not sure what isn't working for you.

How am I not explaining this to you correctly. I AM posting the url and the url alone and hitting submit. After I do that it should post it with the media being there correctly. It isn't. I am explaining to you what it is doing instead.

And you setup forum permissions and user group permissions and the youtube.php file is in the sites folder?

rapidphim 05-12-2008 06:35 AM

Nix, do you have chance to look into my troubles yet? thanks.

Your killing me dude. What does that have to do with what I am telling you. The setup is changing the bbcode call function from media to url. Of course I have everything setup right or I wouldn't have even brought it to your attention in the first place. I'm not going to waste your time bouncing useless information off of you when I didn't setup the mod right. I can change the BBCode Tag Name in the ACP setup to url and it works fine but I'm obviously not going to leave it that way.

I do have nCode image resizer installed and it may be bumping heads with it. I have no idea but it is a possiblity. I do know that I have given you what I thought was rather good descriptive feeback on the problem but I am starting to feel like I'm not doing so well at it now.

Tom, go to vbulletin options, then Goldbrick media options. Double check to see if where it says "Set the tag name for the BBcode." that is says "media" instead of "url".

You all really need to read what I wrote. I changed it to URL and it worked then because it was not working as it should. Do we understand that so far. It was not using the bbcode MEDIA..it was putting the bbcode URL there. The bbcode MEDIA was in the ACP where it should be. I changed it however to URL to see if it would show the youtube embed in a post and it did. However we all know that is the incorrect method. The correct method the mod uses is MEDIA as the bbcode and it is not using it. Do we follow me now? IT is not functioning by putting the word [media] http://whatevertoyoutube.com/ickydoodle.movie [/media] that would be the raw code you would see if the video wasn't there. It isn't. It is using URL instead of MEDIA. Don't make me get my etch a sketch out and draw pictures! :p

Just to avoid any confusion you can see I do have it selected as "media" however I think it is working now. I will see but I didn't do anything.

Thanks....

Nix... I also forgot to mention that if you have multiple Google Video on the same post at the same time, when you hit submit new thread, you'll receive php error in return on google.php file.
