I will have to search for the changes to make it work.

Right now when a member's post is thanked, they receive a notification about it, telling them that they received the reputation points and the thanks.

However, based upon the above posts, it appears that this no longer works with vb4.2. I'm seeking clarification on this point.

Is there anyway to disable the collapsable THANKS list?

Personally I'd prefer to have the big long list of THANKS under threads where users have been thanked a bunch of times.

or if you like to keep the option but increase the amount before it collapses
look for

I think the how to increase the amount of thanks before it collapses is in the read me

I tried both methods, didn't fix it. As you can see in my previous picture, the margin (horizontally) is not right with the rest of the fields.

the thanked x times in x posts will never look the same as the others
if you look at the template the

Thanks : 0

is <dt>Thanked</dt> <dd> 0</dd>

and the thanked x times in x posts
is
<dd> thanked x times in x posts </dd>

+ the fieldset you have wrapping it is making it more obvious

Hi,

I have installed this mod successfully and am happy - it looks rather good!

The thanks button however is the same colour as my background, and thus users can't see it!

How can I change this?

I think I need to change the class="post_thanks_button" style attributes, but for the life of me can't work out where!

Any help appreciated! :)

I see two issues there the alignment of the Postbit , Back a couple parts I posted a fix . The button I don't see it, are they in the correct folder? Are you using a custom style that uses it's own image dir? If so you'll need to add the two buttons to that image dir As well

Thanks for all the hard work here, this works like a charm on my board except with the formatting on our two main skins, ive tried the various fixes but they have not worked, is there an easy way for the customs skins formatting to apply to the thanks section in the postbit?

The skins in question are from completevb.com aesthetica blue and twisteddark blue, none of the suggested post_thanks_postbit_info changes are having any effect on these two skins.

Nothing is obvious with anything thing custom ... if I was home I could test before posting..I can fix it but not from my cell phone. Lol... your doing good so far . Keep playing.. If you don't get it. I'll be of more help when I get home with those skins they are using a field set around each area like post s joined etc you'll need to add that for it to display correctly

you need to open up your post thanks template group and replace your post_thanks_postbit_info template

Found what I think is a bug.

I'm running version 4.0.7

After recently upgrading the add-on to the version posted by Hippy, I'm experiencing the following issue.

When I click 'remove your thanks' (the thanks I left (as admin) ), it removes the entire post thanks box all together, as if I hit 'remove all thanks'. However, it doesn't remove the thanks themselves, because if I thank the post again, the thanks box reappears with all the previous thanks as well as my own.

go into your style and look under the post thanks group templates
and see if there is any red templates
you need to revert them back

did you upload all files ? and allowed them to be over writen
same when you imported the xml . you allowed over write ?

if all the tmeplates are good
I would need come by..

Hippy there was one red template, the postbit template (all I changed was the text, ie the following users say thanks for this). Anyways I reverted it and still same issue.

Weird thing is though, once I remove my thanks and the box disappears, if I refresh the page it comes back so it's not a wicked big deal, I mean it's not like if I remove my thanks the box disappears for everyone else too. Kind of bizarre.

Re up the files re import the XML.. if it does not correct the problem. Install the previous one you had and see what happens.. did you test other browsers I have never heard of this before. Ever

The info is in the users profile under about me tab

For a page to display the other info. You'll find a mod called recent thanks. This will do the rest of what you ask
