I have the same problem ... right clicking the url looks for forums/image.php?u=1 ... but there is no image.php

I have my images in a directory rather than the database ... could this be the problem?

Do you have GD enabled on your servers??? I might need to rethink the way to get the avatars.

It is the directory. I just switched back from file system to db storage and it works fine (had to empty my cache first though)

Just an example....if your key contains the replacement variable, it will get replaced thus making ur key invalid.
