is there any way to set a threshold on a thread and make it live if x number of users are viewing it?

this feature would be really kool!

how would that even work?

lay it out...

user A is on the site (nothing happens because there's not enough)
user B is on the site (nothing happens because there's not enough)
user C is on the site (nothing happens because there's not enough)
user D is on the site (nothing happens because there's not enough)
user E is on the site topic is now active but user A, B, C, and D will not see anything because the topic was never active for them.

its easier said than done :(

Its not working for me :( I use 3.8.1, well It works on my other bored but not the one I'm working on now.

Great mod with one issue so far. I allow uses to have 100 posts per page, it seems with this many posts on a page livetopic does not update.

Not and issue as most user 40 posts by default but figured I would mention it.

Also I have to say hats off for this mod I have never seen a mod to talked about before by members.

This is definitely a feature that should be considered for vb 4.0, it's like next gen forum technology. Very nice idea 5/5.

Great hack, but I'm still surprised it hasn't been fixed to work w/the auto embedding of youtube vids. It's been several, several weeks?

Looks like I'll be forced to uninstall.

It's not easy to make a modification work with every other modification out there. Plus, the developer has a real job that takes time. I'll bet you haven't even added this to his bug tracker (nope, I just checked and you haven't).

it's a little tricky. I use AME 2.5.4 and it works most of the time. Sometimes not. LT seems to be a very delicate mod but the benfits outweigh the costs.
