It works in 3.7 on one of my sites.

This is my favorite mod too. It could be expanded (if the developer chose) to be very powerful for a forum operator by adding the ability to include content from other RSS feeds and also by showing the "Who's Online" names, perhaps in a vertical Chat-room style format, on the right or left side.

I just see this particular tool with so much potential to help a forum operator expand their site and gain members by creating that "live" feel.

I would also like to see it include complete posts.... just random thoughts I guess.

Yes, it can be done, but you'd need to tweak the html to only show a couple threads (I did this a while back to show just two threads on forumhome in a "live" show). I don't have specific instructions, but you'd probably have to take some of the php code and put it into a plug-in as well.

Ok, first off - great mod, thanks! I've read through this entire thread and can't figure this out... It's working great in Firefox but will not refresh the page in IE7. I stripped out all of the $header, $headinclude, and $footer stuff from the output (I call this via iframe so i don't need the vb templates around it). Works great otherwise, but I just dont get the refresh or any of the effects in IE... Like I said, FireFox works perfectly.. very strange. Any ideas?

Has anyone had issues with this MOD when upgrading to vB 3.7?

Is there any way to restrict access to this mod? Could I have an entire usergroup not be able to use this once I have it installed? :confused:
