Is there anyway I can add an achievement for being in a specific usergroup? I can't find it within the condition list.

I also noticed that not all achievements for users are being displayed in the postbit area. Heck, they have achievements within their profile, but not showing on the postbit. I have no idea what is causing this and recounting doesn't work at all.

hey, i recently installed this and it works. The only thing that doesn't work is users aren't leveling up, it stays at one. I looked for answers in the thread and found to install a level product. I did that, but it still doesnt work. Im currently on vb 4.2.0 patch level 4

The zip/rar file you download contains the level files you need to import using 'Import another level product' under the 'experience' tab in the AdminCP. Seeing you've already done so, you need to re-count everything using the recount option also under the experience tab. From there, update the 'experience points' and it should calculate the points per profile. Do know that the levels should being updated about hourly? (I believe) Seeing it's a cron job. Check the 'Scheduled Tasks manager' under 'Scheduled Tasks' to search the experience cron jobs and run them manually to see if there's any changes.

When I click on the username in the postbit and a little menu pops up with options to 'view profile' 'private message' etc there one in there that say 'Give Away Points' this is not aligned to the + icon, it displays like this:

Its working good but I need some help customizing the positions for the Awards and Achievements sections.

I would like to display these two in the postbit_messagearea_start along side the EXP Bars. So that I have all two displayed beside it.

Can anyone confirm that this mod it's working ok in VB 4.2.2? I'm trying to use the promote feature. Can't figure how set up the promotions to demote user, but i read that it's possible.

I am trying to use this mod with the Raffles and it works ok to buy the raffle ticket with the experience points but just that it recalculates the points at some time and the user doesn't need to make posts anymore to enter the raffle, so i wonder how can the total points be cleared once someone spends them on the raffle ticket? or in a shop system?

What i am asking is how to permanently remove the points once someone spends them in a shop system ?

I am not sure if this is possible to do with vBExperience. Can someone explain this to me:

I want to make like 10 levels on my forum - all users start at level 1 and when they get X points they get level 2. With that level change I would like from them to receive new user title and new name color.

Is this possible with vBExperience in other way then by adding 10 new users groups and adding some promotions? I would rather keep all my users in one group "registered users" and let them have other titles and name colors.

cpanel>usergroups>promotions

and work with your user groups or you can use user ranks or user titles

dam! Any chance to limit Give Away Points amount per usergroup/day? I have users with LARGE amount of points giving it away to newbies for fun and I have promotion system based on experience so all messing up.. :(

Does anyone know which phrases need to be changed in order to change all references of "Points" to "Experience" (as in experience/XP in games)... there seems to be a lot of phrases that have the word "Points" in them and I don't want to change anything that's not vBExperience specific.

An easy way to find what phrases deal with just the vBExperience mod is when you go into "Search for Phrases" put in the following:

Search For Text: Points
Product: vBExperience
Search in...: tick Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name

Click "Find"

this should render only the word points related to the mod.

I think the developer need to do some modification to suit 4.2.2 :)

As I said in my post - is there any OTHER way to do it besides the one I mentioned which is the one you also posted. Please read carefully. I don't want to be playing around with dozens of groups.

Hi this is very nice mod. however I'd like to do a clean install so I wanted to remove xperience.php first.

I've followed the uninstall instruction and also ran the kill script kill_xperience.php

However after I click on do it kill_xperience.php?do=kill

Then it just showing the word Remove vBExperience but nothing else is showing. and I checked the database all the databases are still there.

Did I do something wrong?

Can you only get to level 1 with this, or can you set up other levels? All my members hit 99% for level one and none of us can get past it.

When I make a custom award to manually assign to users it let's me add 3 user id's and applies the award fine. Anymore after that and it does not apply the award?

Found the problem. It only allows 1 award to be assigned to a person at once.

Also on a second note; how can I use vbexperience data in other templates. I would like to show the users points next to their username on every page using: {vb:raw xperience.points}. This doesn't work however.

FYI, I found a join query that was running a little slow on every thread:
The solution is to add an index on xperience_stats for userid. This will actually help from scanning a lot of data, especially if you have a large forum.
