It is working, actually, although as someone said a couple of posts ago it is a bit quirky.

I was looking forward to using this but it seems none of the phrases installed or something? None of the words show up in the AdminCP and and my sidebar just has *[settings_adintegrate_global]* and such. I figure it has to do with the language file but I have no clue where it's supposed to go

Edit: I figured it out, the language pack is a product...very strange, guess I should have searched the thread before hand.

There are also alternative system similar to this one on vb.org

Another developer is working it and is willing to give support.
You can also look at Geek's ad management system. It is a paid version though.

even if this hack is "dead" i still think this is the best Advertisement mod ever made. I tried to use the other one, but this one is soooo much better and i turned back to this one since still ths mod has no problem with vb 3.7.2

While this current mod seems to be working fine, not perfect with my 3.7.2 version, I can see that things are only going to get worse.

I might check out the paid version, it seems I have been turning to paid versions of scripts a lot more lately and my "hassle factor" isn't near as bad. Going to go chec it out.

Can you post a link to Geek's ad system? I am only seeing one for 3.0? And what's the adoption status of this ad system for 3.7?

What paid scripts are you using that you would recommend? I'd love to see more paid professional developed and supported scripts for VB! This is my business and I'd love to support the professional VB tool makers!

I installed vb ad management 314. I am trying to remove it and all codes files related to it before I install the new version.

Can you give me a list of files that I should remove or change? because I couldn't find the info anywhere thanks.

When I updated to .7.2 I reverted a lot of my templates...by default in this mod, auto insert is switched off, enabling it in Global Settings sorted it, and inserted the ads wherever I wanted them

I know this is old but I really liked this mod and on my other forum I didn't have an issue but for some reason I am now...

can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I just installed this and am having a problem.

A screen shot of the problem is included below, but let me explain and explain how I downloaded it (since I saw no instructions).

1) Error - It seems to have downloaded fine, one minor problem. There's no text with any of the options. =/ I can't see what box is for what, and what I'm checking.

2) How I downloaded - I simply uploaded the four files (admincp, includes, clientscript, advertisement.php) into the Forum folder. Then I uploaded the xml (imported it, added it as a product, whateve ryou want to call it).


So there's my problem. Here's a screen shot.

This seems like a nifty option to have, I'd like for it to work right. :( Help, please.

You need to upload the "vb_ad_management_english.xml" file same as the other .xml file you uploaded.

Some of our registered users would like to opt-in to ads, since we only show them to unregistered users.

So, we created a $bbuserinfo['field13'] in the adminCP with values "On" and "Off" and are trying to add the conditional to the right place in the code.

I searched the templates and this pointed me to the code:

and the variable $do_ads;

So, I edited global_start.php by adding this conditional:

but this does not seem to work.

Any ideas?

PS: Installed on vB 3.7.1+

Is there any way to only display the left ads on the forums and not my CMPS page?

I was wondering if I granted you a nice donation if you could update this mod to be able to be turned off on some parts of the forum and on, on other parts of the forum. I am a real estate agent and have a real estate forum that I would like to do ad revenue sharing with the members who actually keep the forum alive but do not want the ads on certain parts of the forum. I also want people to get 100% of the ad revenue from their vB blogs.

Please let me know what we can do.

I have upload this and get a blank home page when I have upload. What am I doing wrong as it work fine on my other forum when I uploaded back in March?

Sussed it, the problem is that it will not insert anything, the copywrite logo did not appear so manually inserted and the site reappeared. The problem now is that no ads appear I assume the insertions to the templactes is not working. Any ideas how to correct this?

very unimpressed. installed, crashed my cmps, forum, then when it does actually work it has branding logos. Uninstalled. I'll use another mod that actually works. 3.6.10 PL4

This seems to make my forum grind to a halt each time I enable it and takes about 1 minute before it does too.

ive used the mod for....almost a year i think, works like a charm, and thanks so much!

my question... i have a member requesting an amazon search box on the homepage. very small, maybe 150px by 100px or so. (just guessing).

anyway, its slightly taller than the forum bit lines, but id love it to fit in there. currently with vb ad managment, it either blends it as a separate forum, or puts it centered in its own space.

how do i put it in the same space as the forum title, and enlarge the forumbit for that specific forum just a little bit to make it fit?

if that doesnt make sense, ill draw a pic, i think that might help. thanks for all you do!
