leftanalog 05-22-2012 06:21 PM

So I posted in this thread back in June 2011 (about 1 year ago!) with no response to mine.
So I decided I shall bring it up again.

I currently have installed:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...ht=lightweight
The Lightweight style for Vbulletin.

I was wondering what I have to do... to make this Hack, work with the style?

Does anyone know?
Thanks
LeftAnalog

If it is working for that version why update the plugin. If it is not broken why fix it.

mgurain 05-24-2012 05:34 AM

To test and confirm for people that it's compatible with 4.2 .

edytwinky 05-25-2012 02:11 AM

Is there a way to make this compatible with the Activity Stream on 4.2?

Hippy 05-25-2012 02:46 AM

Read the first post better... there is a update there and works with the current version

I read it and saw no mention of the activity stream

revmitchell 05-25-2012 05:57 AM

Is there going to be an update to this to make it compatible to 4.2

Did you read the first line of the first post?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...50#post2249550 - This?

Yes I read this. I also got this version and still receive compatibility issues.

BirdOPrey5 05-25-2012 06:55 PM

If you had attempted to install that version you would NOT have gotten compatibility issues. That version has no max vb version defined.

So if you got an error about an incompatible version you must have accidentally tried installing the original file.

I understand... the file I tried to install did indeed have a blank version for compatibility.

I know I tried to install the right one because I edited it to be max version 4.2.0 and used that XML and received the error still.

BirdOPrey5 05-25-2012 11:02 PM

What error did you get specifically?

lafsunlmtd 05-25-2012 11:05 PM

Hippy emailed me a file that worked. It just gave the incompatible message even though it shouldn't have.

ForceHSS 05-25-2012 11:13 PM

Try the one in my sig

Chadi 05-26-2012 07:46 PM

For some reason this is not showing up in posts in my custom style. How can I manually it it to postbit legacy?

Hippy 05-26-2012 08:12 PM

Make sure you add the images to your custom style folder

Chadi 05-26-2012 08:30 PM

I did, cleared system cache and still do not see any images.

Hippy 05-26-2012 09:16 PM

whats your yourstyles/ image/buttons/ directory ?
they need to go in there

Chadi 05-26-2012 09:21 PM

I know, I installed them to /images/element/images/buttons directory

edytwinky 05-26-2012 10:16 PM

I also get the compatibility issue when trying to install on 4.2

Hippy 05-26-2012 10:18 PM

STAFF EDIT:
Please see
Post #1846 in this thread before asking any questions.
I guess it should be larger in the first post ..

edytwinky 05-26-2012 10:59 PM

Thanks! It's all working now. Regarding customization.

How would one go about changing the background color of the area where it says "The following users...." and change the font size of the names displayed? Right off the back it looks pretty large.

Hippy 05-26-2012 11:13 PM

never crossed my mind that it was to large
but you can seach for this in your template groups
.postbit .postrow
and play with the padding
(will alter your padding else wares on the forum .so watch what you change)
as for the font
it should be the same as whats being use d on the forum..
same as above
it's using the forums stylevars and css
so what ever you change will affect the forum as well
you would have to recode it ..

anyway you can change the font size by searching for

.posttitle
and see what stylevar it is and change the font from 14 to what ver you like

OMG Can we just get over this already? The original author dropped dead two years ago and forgot to click "reusable code". So does that really mean nobody will ever be able to update this mod to actual working status and we all have to keep tap dancing around the issue?

Seriously. Make an effort to contact the guy. But if you can't then can we please assume he would be honored to have others improving on his efforts? It's completely absurd that 3 out of every 4 posts now just complain it doesn't work because they can't decipher the code to get an updated version from some other person's .sig.

Is there a way to make it point to whatever the postbit font size is?

Can we assume you'd be honored to have squatters living in your home if went away for a vacation and got stuck away for home for some reason?

The answer is absolutely not. Until Abe1 returns to give permission this mod will never be updated in the first post and no one will ever be able to release their own version elsewhere.

That's the way it is.

That said, installing *ANY* mod without reading AT LEAST the first post is DUMB- you have no idea what you are installing or what it may do to your forum. I can understand when someone seeing 50 pages of comments and aren't going to read them all- but the first post? No excuses.

Hippy 05-27-2012 12:09 AM

You're right. If I go away for two years and nobody can reach me, I fully expect my house to be left completely vacant. Oh wait - that's such a silly position I can't beleive you actually said it. Can you please contact my local sheriff and tell him about this odd theory? Because I can assure you in the Real World things just don't happen this way. As soon as I stop checking in, a person will sell my house and all my belongings to someone else. VB should operate under the same principle.

edytwinky 05-27-2012 06:33 AM

Any plans to get this to work with the Activity Stream?

tareqbd 05-27-2012 09:22 AM

How can I use it in vbulletin mobile style premium. I am using it with dartho style but I need to it to work with vbulletin provided mobile styles with hide hack system as well. Please send me some solution. I am using vb 4.1.3
Thank you.

blueperspective 05-27-2012 11:00 AM
