Has anyone had a problem posting HTML to an event with this mod? I've got HTML enabled for my calendars and when I post the following, it won't work. If I post it to another calendar that is not integrated with a forum, it displays fine. Any ideas where to look? It seems to be disabling html in a calendar somehow.
Code:
<embed src="http://www.smugmug.com/ria/ShizamSlides-2007090601.swf?AlbumID=8426926&AlbumKey=kuxig&transparent=true&crossFadeSpeed=500&showThumbs=false&showButtons=false&showLogo=false&forceSize=MediumURL&clickUrl=http://dougwright.huntsvillecarscene.com/gallery/8426926_kuxig" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="always" allowNetworking="all" height="450" width="600"></embed> |
Works great on my 3.8.2? It was installed orignally on a 3.6.4 and upgraded to 3.8.2, re did template edits and all cool, no white pages yet?

How to add attachments to first post? 3.6.11
|
I finally have it working with 3.8.2--I would like to modify it now so when you click on the "New Event" button you can still have a selection of either posting a ranged event, etc..
Has anyone done this yet? I was thinking of either making the new event button a drop down or I could add a table to the events page below the post box... If anyone has already written this it would save me from having to do it myself..lol Anyone??lol Thanks Rich webdevoman.com |

For your request, I think it would be as simple as putting in a conditional in the thread display template (sorry don't remember the name) that would have a drop-down box like under "community" when the new event button is clicked. And you can have the different calendar options there. I've thought about doing the same thing and may code it up in the next month or so. |
HTML problem solved. :)
Because this plugin does store calendar events in the first post of the linked thread, the calendar event is actually searchable. However, a caveat to this design is that forum permissions override calendar permissions. I had my calendar set to allow html and my linked forum set to HTML not allowed. The forum permissions were overriding the calendar ones. When I set the forum permission to allow HTML, all my calendar events with HTML allowed HTML. :) This also explains why moving a post older than the calendar event thread to that thread changes the calendar event. It's why merging threads is turned in event forums. But it is still possible to move individual posts, so your staff must know not to move a post older than an calendar event thread to that thread. There's no protection from moving posts like for merging threads. I will be working on this conditional in the next two weeks now that the HTML problem is solved. |
Anyone tried turning on moderation for calendar and/or threads? It doesn't seem to work. :(
