Im running it on v3.5.4 with no problems what so ever, im impressed actaully how reliable it realy is! It even told me to empty some of my messages in order to send another and greyed out the send button so i knew there was somin wrong!

The problem occurs with IE 6 with the specified Patch, not IE 7.

Hw would I put an option in the navbar to page? Or do you have to start it only by paging a specified user?

What i want to do is put a button on the navbar that says 'page', and when you click it, you go to the list of online users, or the basic pager screen

Wow, not sure if it's a user issue/browser issue or what, but all the sudden the last week or so, we've had an obscene amount of database queries with this. We are in the process of pm'ing those people to see if they were doing something they shouldnt be, or if there was something else going on. We were hitting our 64000 queries per hour in like 40 minutes :/. Ever heard of anything like that happening??

Read the topic i'd say. The shorter the AJAX refresh time and the larger the userbase using vbpager, the more quiries you get.

Yea, but these were multiple, extended multiple hits per second type things. not like a 5 second refresh.

edit, and a follow up, i was talking to a few members that said when they would open up vbpager, it would seem like it wanted to constantly refresh, they said you could hear it just constantly 'clicking' on a refresh, actually to the point of crashing their browser sometimes...

Yea, I just set the Refresh to 0 to disable the default 15 as the queries were bringing my site to its knees. Everything seems cool now :)

Just have to say again that this is one sweet enhancment.

Well I've tried everything I can think of. I had the 3.01 on my site working great now for a while. Then all of a sudden it began acting strange. No longer in the reply box would the text count down but when you sent the reply the original message would reappear the screen would refresh and take you to the main page.

No one seems to get the pages that are sent after the original page. I upgraded to 3.04 and redid all the edits. Same thing.

Must be another hack I've done as it was working fine. Well I've disabled every hack one at a time with no change in the pager.

I'm lost at this point.

Trying to take "Pager messages: total...etc" out of the NAV and put it into ADV_PORTAL_WELCOMEBLOCK.

Anyone get this to work with vBAdvanced Portal?
