I am one of the admins on www.sonomacountymom.com. This forum has a custom background, and we have modified some colors. We used to have a custom skin but sacrificed it to get the left column ads to show, and they did not. So far we have input the code for our ads in the vB Ad Management under left & right columns. No changes were made to any templates at this point. Please advise us how to proceed to get these ads up and running on the site! Thanks in advance!

To get the top page ad working for me I had to out the mods advert code in the standard top banner slot.

When I'm clicking on Ad Sharing link under control panel I'm getting this error above "Custom Fields" information block.

Any suggestions?

As far as I can see you mod is in no way the same as this one.

See above so no this should not be moved to graveyard because of a new different mod is available and working for 3.7.0.

Only reason to move it to the graveyard in my opinion is that it seems the original developer has abandoned it.

I am trying to use conditionals in Vb Ad Manager 4 and they don't seem to work at all. Specifically I'm trying to use them for the header and footer. Is $forum not the correct variable? I have tried several others, including $forumid, and $foruminfo[forumid], all with absolutely no success. I have tried it on two boards. One VB 3.7 and one 3.6.8. I essentially copied the examples from the manual page and changed the forum id but still with no success.

Do conditionals work for anybody? Or are they completely broken. I saw several complaints about them not working throughout the thread, but never saw a response.

If anybody could shed some light on this, I'd really appreciate it.

It appears that conditionals can be made to work for forum ids by using $GLOBALS[forumid] instead of $forum (per the instructions) or $forumid (which, oddly enough, works if you have it in your template header).

Clicked install again after Advertisement System V2.0 Aka Ad Management is not really working.

vB Ad Management 4 is still working perfectly and full at vBulletin 3.7 GOLD!

Can someone give a working example of how the code suppose to be for the ajax rotation?

Why would you create a separate product just for the language phrases? This should be in the same product.

At least make it clear that you have to install what appears to be a language file as a product.

Poorly distributed, IMO. If you are going to have confusing setup options like installing a separate product that contains nothing but required language files there should at least be a readme file.

He evidently doesnt support any longer either. It all works for me except the ajax ad rotation.

Hey guys I'm a little confused about using adsharing on vb admanagement. I read over the tutorial on http://redtyger.co.uk/manual.php?pro...t&version=4.02

however, there is one spot in the tutorial I'm confused about

"The google_ad_client part is what I'm interested in. The letter/number sequence there is the ID of the publisher to whom the royalties are paid. If I change that ID, I change where the payments for that advertisement go. So, what I want to do is replace that part of the code with someone's publisher ID depending on circumstance. I've created a User Profile Field, which will appear in every ad sharing enabled user's UserCP. I need to make a note of the field number that vBulletin has assigned that field, which can by found by viewing AdminCP > User Profile Fields > User Profile Field Manager. In this case it is field6.

So, in the Adsense code I'm going to replace the section I want to be variable with the appropriate field number, with a # either side of it to indicate that this is the removable section.

That can now be pasted into an adcode block and saved.

This is the part I'm confused with, what adcode block is he referring to? Does he mean, replace the adsense code that we have in the field under say navbar, with this one? If that is the case, how does the admin get paid if a person clicks on the advertisement? Doesn't that mean only the people who have registered and made posts get paid, since #field6# is variable?


Is there a better tutorial that explains how to use adsharing. I just want to make sure that I'm also getting paid and not just the users who have registered with this adsharing feature.

Hey guys... I have installed this on a 3.7 board and it works, but only if you you use auto insert. Manual insert does not work for me... any body have a clue what might be the prob>?

Hi im having some problems getting some adds to randomly display. I currently have six adds i would like to randomise in the header. I appear to have everything set correctly but it will only show the one ad then it will just dissapear after 60 seconds.

Below are my settings..

Global Settings
Enable AJAX refreshing of advertisements? - Yes
Delimiter - '|'

Header & Navbar - Header -
Enable header advertisements on your forum? - Yes
Header advertisement refresh - 60 (1 minutes)
Header adcode -
If i physically refresh the page it will randomly pic one of the ads but if i leave it, it will dissapear after 60 seconds.

I really cant see what im missing but its bound to be something obvious. If anyone can point me in the right direction i would be very gratefull.

Try taking the "|" off the last line, I dont' think it's needed...

I eventually found the answer to this one... This is working for me...

Okay I have a problem. I'm on 3.7 gold. I'm trying to share the revenue.

The field I made for the sharing is field10. So I put #field10# but it doesn't work. Shows up as blank. No ads on the header. I use this code:

And also when I go the the Ad Sharing option I see this messed up thing. Like field10 is appearing as field1. Like look at my screenshot (attached).

So can anyone help me fix this. Thanks.
