Your forum / server seem to be set up in the belief that "randomforumname.co.uk" is the "real" domain and as such, it tries to send requests to that domain.

I sadly have no knowledge in how to solve such a configuration problem :(

Sorry i am confusing you, i just typed the random domains. Sended you a PM with the domain and you see what i mean.

No problem, sorry for delayed response but I've been massively swarmed over the past couple of days :(

Glad everything worked out :)

It only snaps if the user hasn't manually moved the scroll bar, so if users are currently in the process of reading shouts, they won't lose their place in the conversation :)

Apologies if I wasn't clear - not asking for a new feature...

I agree it needs to snap to the bottom - but if the user has moved the scroll bar it (currently) will also snap every refresh or new post.

The overall intent is right - but there appears to be a bug on the refresh IF the scroll bar has been moved, i.e. scroll position is not the end of the shoutbox.

To reproduce I have the shoutbox refreshing every 5s and set to 40 shouts. I don't have enough time to scroll (and read) through the current shouts before a refresh happens and I'm snapped back to the bottom.

Using version 5.3.1 on 4.0.8.
When using the shoutbox on a style generated using the Style Generator, the font colour on the tabs makes it difficult to read (see image below). Would you please save me a few hours and tell me where to make the appropriate edit?

Any idea what could be causing this? It doesn't get any further than this and doesn't appear in the list of installed mods either;

Hi guys,

I have an Admin/Chatbox Manager that is currently unable to view the chat box (perpetual loading screen) on his desktop (Win7/IE8) but can do no problems from his laptop (Vista/IE7?). Unfortunately his laptop is bugging out on him for other reasons and needs to be able to rely on his desktop. Any ideas what the problem could be?

So far I've ... Reinstalled vBShout (5.3.1), returned to default option placement, to no effect. I've also cleared the server side Cache. The member is using default options of IE, and no other users have reported a problem that wasn't solved by clearing Client side Cache.

Server is running PHP v5.2.14 & MySQL Version v5.0.91-community.

What else should I try?

Also on a different note; IE9 is showin posts oddly

Have him install Firefox and check the Error Console :)

I'll revisit that once IE9 becomes final :)

That's a bug in the browser if so, because I know at least Firefox 3.6 doesn't exhibit this behaviour, and scrollbar manipulation is something that each browser handles very differently so it would be impossible to fix.

I believe the .alt2 CSS definition in dbtech_vbshout_colours.css is the appropriate place to edit :)

Maybe your user table is large and it's trying to edit that, or your server's silently failed..? I'm afraid I can't offer any other guesses :(
