Uhm, how can I change the defaut font size in chatbox? (Larger)
|
It uses vBulletin's default font size, changing the font size on a per-user basis is a Pro-only feature :)

I am having a weird error I hope you can help me fix. When I click on a user in the SB I get the options box half way down the screen and not next to the username like it should be.
I have attached a SS for you to see. |
From the knowledge we have atm, that's sadly not possible to fix. Some skins implement behaviour that breaks JavaScript functionality, and as such we have no way of knowing how to position the box.
If you look at it on a default (unmodified) style, you'll see it works fine. We'll be re-visiting this in the future, but for now there's nothing that can be done :( Fillip |
Ok and thank you for the quick reply.

Hi
First off - excellent Mod. Installed it on our vbulletin installation and it's mostly working ok.. I've managed a few template changes to do what I want to it, but one thing keeps bugging me. I have the text entry below the shoutlist. I'd like to have the display order set to Oldest First. However in doing that the shoutbox snaps to the bottom on every post or refresh, not giving users time to scroll back through the shouts. Happens in Firefox, IE7, IE8 and Chromium. This happens on the default style as well as our modified one. website is http://www.ak47ps3.com/forums I looked through the vbshout.js and commenting out the scrollBottom() function stops it scrolling down, but also prevents it snapping to bottom on initial load :( I suspect the issue is ajax_completed() is just snapping to the bottom no matter what and would be better if there was a way to detect this was a first load of a chat area or a refresh. I looked to see if I could spot a hook where I could force a snap on initial load of a room - but it didn't stand out for me, and I though I should ask here first rather than pushing around in the code and making it 100 times worse :( Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated. |
But if it didn't snap to the bottom, users would need to scroll through every shout in order to read the newest one O.o
It only snaps if the user hasn't manually moved the scroll bar, so if users are currently in the process of reading shouts, they won't lose their place in the conversation :) Provided I understood you correctly, that's not an option that'll be offered, sorry. Fillip |
I been readin over 41 pages but can not find the answer.
I have nps running the shoutbox from http://aforumname.com but when i go to http://www.aforuname.com i get the following error. Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.3; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E) Timestamp: Fri, 22 Oct 2010 22:33:20 UTC Message: Access is denied. Line: 7 Char: 2946 Code: 0 URI: http://randomforumname.co.uk/v2/clie...n-min.js?v=407 Only happens on the www part and i have no idea. Any help would be apriciated. Thanks for the great addon. |
Due to AJAX security implementation, it's currently not possible to call AJAX requests to other domains.
Your forum / server seem to be set up in the belief that "randomforumname.co.uk" is the "real" domain and as such, it tries to send requests to that domain. I sadly have no knowledge in how to solve such a configuration problem :( Fillip |
