There is no code in the chatbox to do such thing with the chatbox input.

Hello. Installed this mod months ago and excelent, but now it gives me this error when trying to view the chats:

I have removed the old version and then installed this new version i-e 1.0, everything is working fine except the "Alternate background color" option. The problem which I am facing is that the alternative background color of the rows is not appearing during the chat, however when I refresh the whole page then it appears fine.

I tried it in both FF 3 and IE 7, but the same getting the same problem/glitch.

PS: I am using vbulletin 3.7.3 PL 1

Edit: One more problem, the chatbox is not coming out from the inactivity mode even after hitting the refresh button many times. (working on page reload)

And by the way, how can I just *remove* the rows' background color? I just don't want it to have background color, as the chat itself has one. ;)

I ended up doing this too - our users were getting mad about not being able to see the chatbox, not being able to get past the loading screen, things like that. To keep peace I ended up downgrading it. I went back to version 0.4.0 which was the last version that was working well for us. I have made a few posts on this thread, and tried all the suggestions I've found but it still wasn't working.

Some can see it with IE and not Firefox, others can see it with Firefox and not IE. Others the screen sticks on loading and won't go any further. Hey, do you mind doing a test like later, or tomorrow? I've fixed so many sites with the loading issue. Your issues are not typical of any others here especially the duplicate chats. Either an uninstall wasn't done right, or you have ghosted tables in sql.

Update: I've now seen the double posts on a forum. This is on a fresh forum almost. I'll look into it on my end as well.

if I fail in a chat never charged if it contains characters such as (ñ) stays loading but never appears, and when you try to write something again tells you Error: Please wait some seconds before sending a new message. I hope I understand this translated with google translator

well I have some similar problem... I had installed the hack but there would not show anything in the chatbox when I wrote into it... I mean nothing at all, just the plain Chatbox in 3.7.3 patch 1

Tried another one and had that it showed in FF but not in IE, coud this be becaus of someting changed in v'Bulletin, that is in use with the shoutboxes?

I think you have chatbox templates which are modified or chatbox files are not up-to-date.

Revert chatbox templates and update files.

I hope to be able :). There is just the scrolling issue which will be a bit harder to fix as I am not a major javascript master ...

It's one of a few things that I fix non stop in here. Can you give me access to ftp, and to the admin cp of your forum and I'll fix? I know what the issue is now that you said the loading. ;)

Yeah, it's the ajax/mod security/security token. Just like the above reply... PM me if you want me to fix, or we can try and do over IM or here. Doesn't matter.

I'm guessing it's a linux/apache setup. So mod_security.

Hey buddy, I found the issue. Even though it's in spanish ;)

First off, you are running the old old old version. I'm going to uninstall 1.5 and move you to 1.0.0.

1.5 was for VBulletin 3.6x and it's not the EVO version like the one here.

Even though the new one is a lower number, it's the newer product, so it's ok.

And I was right. It's mod security issue. Fixing. Gimme 5 minutes and you'll see it all. ;)
