Hi Paul.... :)
I've been backing up using this mod religiously.... thanks for posting it ... I'm not that familiar with SQL or vBulletin internaks, so I've been wondering what I'd do if I had a complete hard disk failure on my host server. I back up nightly using this mod with the option set to a "single file". I then move it to my local machine periodically. Does the "database" (single file), as I understand it, contain ALL of the traditional data files, plus of all of the vbulletin code (including mods)? In other words, if I had to setup a new server, would I simply install my licensed version of 1.67pl1 and then somehow have a techie restore this single file, which puts ALL of my threads, posts and forum (including mods) back to exactly the way it was prior to a failure? Thanks for any feedback.... Regards, Badger |
If by mods you mean plugins then yes. Obviously it wont include any additional files or file edits that some mods use.

If I wanted to gzip this, what would I need to add to the config file to do that? |

Is there a "Best Mod Ever" button I can click? |
