Awww! I see.. I used the one from vbhackers and have just read where the timestamp is no longer an option.. Bummer!

But, what would happen if I upgraded and used this one? Would it totally screw me up?

The one at vBHackers uses a flat file which does not pound the server load so hard. Other than that it's the same except with the timestamps which can be easily fixed by hard coding it into the shout templates.

I heard many bad rummers about it being hard on the 3.6.3 that many people switched back to the old version on it

I tried to install 2.1 over 2.0 and I keep getting this error when I try to upload the xml product.

Does it look familiar to anyone else? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! I'd like to just revert back to 2.0 until a later date since I have all of the hacks to integrate it throughout my site.

i think that you have to uninstall first v2.0 and then install v2.1
v2.1 has a new system and i believe this is the reason you got this. :)

Thank you for the reply! :) After trying to install 2.1 over 2.0 it gave me this error and wouldn't install. So I uninstalled 2.0 and now I can't go backwards OR forwards without getting it. :( The error says "MySQL Error : Table 'shout' already exists". Would somone know how I remove it?

I would manually insert where you want the shoutbox, and disable "Below Navbar" in vBoptions if your wanting to do that.

OR

Insert the pictures in your navbar template at the very top

How do i stop certain usergroups posting shouts, is there a way to do it without setting them as banned?

Set them so they can view it but not post shouts. Or just hide it completely it should be within vBoptions

I alone have probably posted it 18 times, that's how I have the page number remembered. When I first found it I used the Search thread feature, but not too many even realize there is a search thread feature. It's a really nice feature, just a shame not too many realize it's there. :)

3.6.3 has an ajax problem with non english websites :(

This includes vBshout...

I'd love to know why Zero Tolerance left this project and moved it to vbhackers... but that one is flat file, is it good?
