I installed the new version but I can't get it to show up anywhere on the forums... :(

Is it possible to have a specific channel appear above for a specific section of the forums. Take for example I have a moderators section of the forums. I want to have the chat at the top of that forum to be the moderator channel.

Just curious it would be cool because then you could have chats specific to a section of the forums

Thank you for taking the time in replying, I've had a look in the FF error console and although I've not located that that error I have found several of the other "unknown location" errors whilst viewing the whois and they are as follows:

The odd thing is I'm not sure why it is calling it from that location as the only place the shoutbox is located is on the main forum index page..

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have talkerbot working on my site and of course, mgc chat is working well too.. Anyone else have both and - figured out some code to make the talkerbot a part of the chat?

I am running VBSEO and I noticed that when someone pastes a url into the chatbox, it appears as a link (which is ok) but it shows up as the link and not the actual title of the page. Is there something I can do either in the mods or via vbseo cp that could make it show the title?

We're still having problems with the chatbox not working for some members. For some it locks on "loading" and their chats never come up. Others are not able to see any of the chats in the chatbox, only in Archives.

The members who are having problems have cleared their caches several times and it still doesn't work.

Sometimes switching from FF to IE helps, or vice versa. Any ideas?

in order to fit the chatbox on a side column of a portal like vba, it would be nice to resize the chatbox to a minimum. Therefore, it should be possible to arrange the icons (via configuration) beow the input field and have smaller icons. Furthermore, a configurable width would be great.

Sounds more like a plugin to this mod, then a function. Not a bad idea. But, it's already a module VBa as a shotbox on the main page ;)

No, it does refresh on the other users window each specified number of seconds (you set it as called "autorefresh" time).

By default, vbulletin asks for confirmation after clicking log out and the page turn into gray in IE. When MGC Chatbox Evo is enabled, it doesn't asks for confirmation and directly logs me out. The problem is that I am a mac user and thus can't test that :(. Could you try to tell me which kind of error is displayed in ie ?

[Major but non blocking] vBulletin confirm popup (logout or PM) have been reported by somes users as not displayed in IE when the chatbox is active (IE javascript triangle appears)
[Medium] Chats doesn't get removed from the chatbox when the inactivity mode message is displayed
[Minor] When chats display option is "Oldest first", the chatbox doesn't scroll to new chats on load.

I might be misunderstood.
I know stangger's vba mod for MGC Chat and I use it. The prob is, the vba mod is designed for the center column of vba, because it's impossible to right-size the Chatbox that far it fits the left or right column. Stangger's mod only wraps your Chatbox, therefore the only place it fits on vba is center column (or you risk a layout mess )
What I suggested was: A bit more configuration of chatbox itself.(e.g. separation of input line and Icon line, using smaller icons, setting a width etc.) to get the whole thing fit in a side column. And that can't be done by stangger's mod.

All extra features added in this version are disabled. Announcement and bbcode in announcements features are disabled, too. When i disable the smilies, i see the chatbox is running with only 1 query. In the old version (3.6 version), i had smilies enabled and it was still running with only 1 query. Maybe it's because you added "by random order or by admincp order" selection ?

Javascript error says: "Object doesn't support this property or method" i don't think it's helpful :)

Alright, waiting for your answer for the similar changes...

Thanks, it would be great to have this and may be a configurable width of the the box. A config to separate username and timestamp (2 lines instead of one) could help either.

I think you misunderstood my request, or I misunderstood your answer. I wasn't talking about any error.

My request: I have a mobile-device optimized skin and would like the chatbox to NOT show when using this skin. But I do want it to show on my other default skin.

Is there anything we can do to get it to not show on a certain skin (in my case, the mobile skin)?

I really hate to bug you, but I am such a newbie, and that advice, while it sounds promising, is not enough for me to do anything with.

Can you be a little more specific? What variable should I be looking for and where might I find it? I'm assuming that the "installation process" added some variable to all my styles somewhere. So it sounds like I can go find whatever that is in the mobile style and just manually remove it.

Please let me know.

No no your install process shouldn't have added variables to your style for the chatbox display :)

However, if you follow the little how to which is in the chatbox readme for the style issue this should be possible to only display the chatbox in the styles you want.

I think you should give it a try but I can perhaps add a new option in the next chatbox release.

Yes I just get those in the error console, but if think it's a VBSEO issue with that as it mentions forum/plaza and there is not a directory called plaza but we have a section called the plaza on the forum.

But we get this error when you're watching the whois online when someone posts a message :

Unknown Location
/forum/clientscript/mgc_cb_evo_add/css/indicator.gif
