OK,
Installed and configured on 4.2 (Thanks for the hints) However.... When I enter the "Code" I want to use for the "Link to Us" it shows as a link under a blank text entry box. There's nothing to copy and paste. Am I missing something? (Image 1) [S]When I enter a description for a link, only 100 characters are saved in the post, everything else is deleted.... (Image 2)[/S] Fixed, seemd to only happen with the FIRST link, added a second and no issue. And the banners don't seem to work. Although this may be me as I am hosting the banners on a separate server... Found another, "Comments" are enabled, however there's no place for a user to enter comments :( (Image attached) For reference if it helps.... Installed MOD Version "vblinkdirectory105vb415" On vBulletin Version 4.2.0 Patch Level 3 Server Type Linux Web Server Apache v2.2.22 PHP 5.3.15 ScratchMang |

I'm thinking this MOD is dead in the water :(
Pity as it fit's a need really well. I have managed to sort out some of the issues as stated in my last post, but as far as replying or adding comments, that's still a no go. It's useful for the most part, I can add links and what have you, but missing the rest of the functionality is a bit of a bummer. Hopefully the Coder will return and help us out, or at the very least allow those who can improve upon it do so. ScratchMang |
After I read your post I enabled comments on my test site to see if they worked. They worked fine but with one little annoyance, some of the comments had nbsp; at the end of the text.
Thumbnails worked ok. Didn't test anything else. A nice mod, but needs updating. Members favourites would be a good idea, content blocks for the cms, new links, most visited, featured site etc etc |

"Add a new Comment" works.
Have you try to "edit the comment" ? I get a blank Field. |

I don't even have a place to enter the comment itself. Check the Third image from my previous post, the "Header" to leave a comment is there, but there's no text entry box to actually leave a comment, very strange. I tried with the Default Theme / Skin just to be sure and it's the same result, no Text Entry box to leave a comment in. Worst part is there's a Button to "Leave Comment" and if you click on it you get a message telling you the comment is to short. I find it quite amusing to be honest. Scratch |

Have you activated the comments option? You need to go to the vBulletinLinkDirectory tab on the admin control panel and select "COMMENTS". Then on the next panel at the top you will see an option to Activate Comments. If you select Yes then when you click on a link you should see a comment entry box below the contents of the link.
I use the mod for my music lib. Take a look at the screen print and you will see the comment box below the link content that is displayed after I click on the link. Hope this helps |
@ ScratchMang

Still no box to add in a "Comment" but the "Title Bar" asking if you want to leave one is present as well as the button to submit one... (See Image) Not certain what to do from here. Damn Odd..... |
