you arent the only one, i got ignored too.

MrZeropage 10-19-2005 05:50 PM

Sorry, but testing with all of you won't make sense, then I could just release this unfinished Hack and wait for people saying "this is buggy, just use another one..."

This is why I want it to be finished first before you all get it - stay tuned, the testphase won't last too long ;)

Ski-Whiz 10-19-2005 05:54 PM

This negative attitude guys, is the reason people stop making great hacks.

So just rest assured that Zero is trying to put out a quality item, and is making GREAT progress.

How many people write hacks, and stay on top of them? Zero is in here just about everyday.

So just rest assured, this is a HUGE hack, and will benefit everyone! He's also doing this out of the kindness of his heart! So don't take this for granted. :D

Thanks Zero!!

MrZeropage 10-19-2005 06:22 PM

Thanks - yes, that is what I want, a QUALITY RELEASE that gets good reputation within the vBulletin-scene, not a "quick and dirty" adaption that is buggy and everybody will look around for alternatives ;)

So please wait some more time for the final release -> we already reaches RC2-state :)

Snake 10-19-2005 07:09 PM

Man I like your style, Zero. Real fresh! :D

micheal332001 10-19-2005 09:12 PM

MrZeropage

The look to this new arcade of yours is just great.
Also i have PM'ed you about the pnflashgame part.
As of bugs i have not come across any that i know of yet.
But i have seen you missed some thing lol in the admincp on add new game

you have this

Dezimalstellen
Lasse den Wert auf Null für ganze Zahlen

I think this should be some thing like this

How many Decimal places or some thing like that lol

Ski-Whiz 10-19-2005 09:14 PM

I can tell you this, if you have an older version of IBproarcade installed, you will have a hard time installing this new version, if you wish to keep the settings/data. I hate to do some editing of my saved SQL tables, and then re-import the data, in order to keep my high scores, game listings etc.. This is intended for a new/fresh install. Which, I'm guessing that most of you guys may still have some tables/fields remaining from an old ibproarcade install.

I had quite a lot of work to do to keep my data. So even if you don't have the 2.5.1 for vb running, there may be tables in your database, and fields that will give you trouble. So we are working on this, and we are providing him great input on how to make this hack easy for everyone!

Not trying to give you guys a hard time. It's just people who don't know how to edit their SQL tables and fields, will have a hard time with this RC2 version.

Great job so far Zero! It's up and running on 3.0.8, and looking forward the next version. :D
And I didn't lose any data.. :D

micheal332001 10-19-2005 09:55 PM

uploaded and running on 3.5 no problems on the install at all.
V3arcade games work fine and the ibp games work fine but the pnflashgames dont.
Im trying on my test site to find out why its not working.

kylek 10-19-2005 10:13 PM

Testers - MrZeropage asked in the original pm that all bugs, hints, or ideas be sent to him by pm, I am sure it is easier to keep track of them in one place and not here on the board. Not complaining but following his request.

Tell me what are pnflash games?

micheal332001 10-19-2005 10:21 PM

pnflashgames is a postnuke module for running a online arcade but uses the API to stor the scores.
If you would like to see the pnflashgames working goto my site here

http://www.michealmilton.com/index.p...ames&func=main

and you will see the games i also make games for this some times when i have the time to make them lol.
I have made over 80 games for pnflashgames and i have payed for the pro games too. Pnflashgames also sell multiplayer games for your site so if this can use the pnflashgames it would be great as we would be able to have multiplayer games in a this arcade.

Zero has all my issues. :D

I'm merely trying to state that people just need to understand that if they wish to have an easy install, patience is key. :D

The decimal issue when adding a game is a known bug. :D

I don't thing anyone is breaking any of his instructions.

Wordplay 10-19-2005 11:14 PM

skiwhiz, i didn't even mean it like that. i'm very well aware of just about everything you said, although i'm sure zero very much appreciates your mentioning. i never did have ipb installed on my site. i used to have v3 installed on my site for 3.0.7 and after killing off those tables, and upgrading to 3.5 i haven't had any arcade or my site. my members are bugging the heck out of me, i wouldn't mind supplying them with a (little-as it's already on rc2) buggy arcade, if i know it's the better choice for my site, which i believe it is. matter of fact i wouldn't have waited if i had known it would take another month from when zero said in maybe a week or so he'll get a release out. if i had known that much i would have just gone with the worser pick that being v3. just to please my members, my members dont know that theirs something better emerging, and people that only know so much wont mind. i just mind, cuz i wanted the best, but keeping them waiting is painful as hell.

and i'm not getting stressed here, or starting an uproar or anything, the only reason i'm saying what i'm saying right now is to let you know whats up cause you put it out there.

i do appreciate all of zero's hard work, and am very sure that he invests as much freetime in this project as he may have. the appreciation is there, and although i dont understand why he didn't put out rc2 for more testers (as i doubt testers would be complaining about a release)... i do respect his choice. i was just letting Coleccromos know that he isnt the only one dying to get his hands on this.

i hope this wont heat up the discussion, but rather just clear it up so we can all get back on topic and just wait for a stable release.

Ski-Whiz 10-19-2005 11:44 PM

Wordplay,

I didn't mean it to sound mean in any way. Some people here have really become upset and angry that coders don't do more for free. :D

Zero is a great contributor here. :D

I just tried to mention that patience is key. :D If you need to get an arcade up, you can get 2.5.1 working on 3.5. You can visit ibproarcade-vb.com. :D

Zero has made this worth waiting for. :D

MrZeropage 10-20-2005 05:50 AM

There are some (few) bugs found yet, I will fix them and maybe extend the amount of testers with the next RC3 which then should be (hopefully) the last RC-version before the final release

Ramsesx 10-20-2005 08:01 AM

Thank you zero, please do it quickly cauz we all get crazy for waiting for this great modification
You're the no. 1

Wordplay 10-20-2005 11:06 AM

thanks for making that clear ski, it's just that i thought it was addressed to me. damn, i never noticed how long my reply was as i typed it so quick.

zero, would you mind letting me atleast test rc3? just asking :D dont mean to get on your nerves or anything.

sogar auf deutsch wuerde ich es testen, auf meinem board ist es pieps furz egal.

Sooner95 10-20-2005 11:12 AM

Yep he is doing a fine job, of course I handed him prob the biggest bug..LOL sorry dude!

He'll get it corrected I am sure, it is well worth the wiat peeps..

If you desperately need an arcade - visit www.ibproarcade-vb.com and read how to install arcade 2.5.1 on a vb 3.5 board - if you have any problems PM me.It only takes 2 file edits and a file replacement - or there is a fresh install option.

Let your users know it is a temporary measure until the final arcade is released (many of the database tables won't change - so you may be able to upgrade from 2.5.1 to this arcade flawlessly).

Beta testing of MrZ's arcade is going well from my point of view - a few bugs but they will be quashed come the final release :)

MrZeropage 10-20-2005 04:24 PM

I think you should not make use of this "old" ibProArcade 2.5.1 as its AdminCP contains illegal spread files from the original InvisionBoard-Installation.

So just wait some more days ;)

I have got it installed but only because there was nothing else at the time.

My members like to have the arcade.

I'm so eager for the release, I'm doing the peepee dance over here... :P I know it'll be worth the wait, I can see how hard your working on it. I and all my users thank you for doing this :) Make sure you add a PayPal link at some point for donations!

micheal332001 10-21-2005 06:01 PM

i think alot of people will be donating to this hack as its the best.
I know i will be donating some to this as he has worked so hard on it.
This is and will be a great hack to have on any vbulletin forum.

MrZeropage 10-21-2005 07:11 PM

I continue approaching RC3 with maybe some more "final testers", but will be offline for this weekend and develop offline on my notebook - see you all in about 48h :)

Paul_Hollibone 10-21-2005 11:17 PM

Well Zero, if your looking for some FINAL Testers, for rc3, I would be happily enough ti help out. The arcade hack has been everything for my site, and when VB3.5 came out, it meant I lost the arcade, and alot of peeps stopped comming as often as they were because of the hack.

So it would mean everything if I could get a hold of RC3 for this wonderful hack!

Vbulletin 3.5
PHP Verson 4.3.8

I would have applied for the original beta, but I was kinda on Holidays. Us Aussies love our Holidays.

soniceffect 10-23-2005 10:20 PM

How`s the beta testing goin?

Snake 10-24-2005 04:03 PM

I hope it's doing well...

MrZeropage 10-24-2005 06:12 PM

Everything is proceeding well, still fixing some bugs in RC2 to switch to RC3

BUT

there was something found by a friend of mine, whic makes me very angry, please see attached screenshot. Someone is spreading the beta-version of ibProArcade via Peer2Peer-Network "Emule" !!

I surely will continue finishing this hack, but this makes me very very sad. There are just 10 users from germany (vbhacks-germany.com) and 11 users here from vb.org who participate in this testphase, and I thought I selected them well. Seem as if someone wants to spoil that project, I don't know - please, if you have any information concerning that, let me know.

MissKalunji 10-24-2005 06:27 PM

that sucks :(

MrZeropage 10-24-2005 06:37 PM

Yes, it does - I am very upset about that, but think it is one of the german testers who did this, don't know why ...

But I will take a beer for now, enjoy a movie and relax to continue development tomorrow and ignore that nerd

Bastards ...

Sorry but they are.....

Anyways, glad to see you are continueing with this project and not being detered by these idiots.

Rover416 10-24-2005 06:47 PM

That is wrong.

MrZeropage 10-24-2005 06:51 PM

...what is wrong ?

soniceffect 10-24-2005 06:53 PM

Think he`s refering to the spreading of files that is wrong m8
