Then you either installed it wrong or have another mod messing with it. ;)

I click on Emoticons, and nothing happens, also, I don't see the Emoticons box above it. Maybe my template is messed up?

Ensure the templates are reverted after upgrading to v1.5 :)

Ok, thanks. I'll try that.

ThePimp 08-02-2005 09:21 AM

Got it. The "Smilies" button wasn't showing up and I had an "Emoticon" link still in my template. Thanks for the help. Looking good! :)

Quick question ...
Since my members aparently can live without a shoutbox ...

Is it possible to get the shoutbox like a popup version .... so they can have it in an extra window beside the main ...???

Runs fine for me,
No other mods installed

Just for some users it just locks up

Boots 08-02-2005 11:57 PM

My users were loving it but I had to uninstall it because it was driving my server load through the roof :( Maybe I'll dig through the code and see if I can find ways to reduce it's footprint :(

Cyricx 08-03-2005 12:33 AM

Seems the censorship isn't workin for the shoutbox. :(

The /me command works fine in 1.5. You just need to have the /me part at the beginning of the line.

Darth Gill 08-03-2005 03:35 AM

I noticed that if you have the option to display shouts with newest at the bottom, it will only display the last 20... It works fine if you have the newest shouts at the top.

cclaerhout 08-03-2005 08:55 AM

Why does forumhome_vbshout template often display in red in the template usage window ? Does it mean that it takes time to load ?

Marco van Herwaarden 08-03-2005 09:11 AM

That means it is read from database on each usage, and not cached.

Sovereign 08-03-2005 04:54 PM

I would like to see this as a vBa CMPS module (can it be loaded as is?)

Kirk Y 08-03-2005 07:46 PM

Ditto.

plateau 08-04-2005 09:46 PM

very very very nice work! Install Clicked!

1. I would like to put the Input Box, Buttons, and the Drop Down Manus down to the bottom of the table, which means the output box is at the top. how to move that?

2. And, How to Change the Position of the shoutbox in the index page?

thank u very much!!!

@ plateau - ACP -> vBulletin Options -> vBShout Options, what you're looking for is all there :)

@ Darth Gill - I'll get that fixed ASAP, sorry :)

@ webspider - Works fine for me, what problems are you having?

@ Ronin - I'll get that fixed :p

Boofo 08-05-2005 08:47 PM

Can we also get a defualt font size (normalfont, smallfont) for shouts with BIG letters in them? ;)

webspider 08-05-2005 09:02 PM

With 3.5 rc2 it just sits there loading .... and never goes active. Was fine yesterday with 3.5 rc1. Maybe I'll try a reinstall.

I'm stupid!! I created a new folder for rc2 and forgot to upload vbshout.php. You can go back to green alert :)

webspider 08-05-2005 09:56 PM

Users that are actually banned can't access the board but groups like waiting email confirmation who you might not want to allow shouting should see something else.

I'm wondering if this is the right wording?

"You are currently banned from the shoutbox"

Not there.

Uploaded it just as you said and still doesn't work. Had to maually paste the code into the box to get it active. Liz

BlackRabbit1971 08-07-2005 07:05 PM

Is there anyway to turn the shoutbox off to guests??? I don't want people to be able to read the shout box if they aren't a member/logged in...

BR ;)

DeMiNe0 08-07-2005 07:15 PM

You can use a template conditional o disable it for guests.

Does anyone know if there Is there a way i would be able to make this shoutbox load on every page?(even vbadvanced?)

Blam Forumz 08-07-2005 07:28 PM

just edit the navbar template and put it underneath it :P
