mp3dreaming 11-14-2005 10:52 PM

well the only problem I have in my vb 3.5.0 gold is that it tells me and the other Admins when we goto thread tools..Move to recycle bin....we get this..

Mastar 11-17-2005 03:54 PM

Can someone make this work for Vb3.51?

FROGGYJ 11-17-2005 08:37 PM

ummm this mod doesn't work and there doesn't appear to be any support or changes to it....so I'd just ignore it. Don't waste the time installing and then uninstalling.

Snake 11-17-2005 09:08 PM

I will be releasing a hack that performs the same thingie as this one. It justs moves a thread to the archive forum, just like this one. Stay tuned!

Yeah agreed it never worked when I installed before I upgraded and no support. And hopefully the new version will be easier to install w/ support.

Besides the fact that it doesn't work?

I don't suggest you try to install this.

Any idea when you might do this, and cna you confirm you're doing it?

If you don't, I might attempt it myself. :P

Snake 12-05-2005 12:37 PM

I'm almost done. Before I release it, I need to beta-test it and make sure everything is working fine. But the problem is, my server is down so I can't do anything about it at the moment. Hopefully it should be back online soon and release the hack like in no time! :)

Moosehunter 12-15-2005 05:29 AM

Rofl!!! I cant beleive people are still installing this. The guy has not supported this hack at all or even posted in months. Dont you get that it is not working? A moderator should delete this hack and email the author about it being deleted. And to the guy that wrote can this be updated to 3.5.1 smoke a doobie man and relax cause it aint workin on 3.5 yet. lol.

Read through the thread, the hack does not work on later versions of vb.

Hi

I have just installed this and now when peeps mark the forums as read, we get a database error, this has happened since installing this hack...please advise asap or we will have to uninstall this :(
Disable mod and forum is fine...

Bashy

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.2:

Invalid SQL:
SELECT * FROM forum WHERE forumid =;

MySQL Error : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 Error Number : 1064

Snake 12-31-2005 01:05 PM

Well there is no way that I am going to re-install this buggy hack until it has been confirmed that it's fully working.

bashy 12-31-2005 02:13 PM

Hindsight and all that...perhaps i should have read the whole thread before going ahead :o

It does work ok apart from this wee issue with the Mark Forums Read...
Downside is its a big issue and i cannot use this mod/hack untill its resolved!
Bloody big shame mind :(

DS MrSinister 12-31-2005 05:23 PM

Ok i just install this on my test site and works great. when i try to upgrade to this on my main site Not so good. :(..

Its due to PHPversions i guess. Since my host runs php 4.3.11, mysql 4.0.16 and my localhost is running MySQL 5.0.15, PHP 5.0.5.

Its not creating this table. can anyone help me out

Code:

CREATE TABLE `_vbr_config` (
  `oid` int(11) NOT NULL default '1',
  `active` int(11) NOT NULL default '1',
  `forumid` int(11) NOT NULL default '0',
  `linkamfd` int(11) NOT NULL default '2',
  `linkamst` int(11) NOT NULL default '1',
  `typem` int(11) NOT NULL default '1'
) ENGINE=MyISAM DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 COLLATE=latin1_general_ci COMMENT='vBRecycle Config';

INSERT INTO _vbr_config VALUES('1', '1', '3', '2', '1', '1');

This product is resonsible for a "Mark Forums Read" error as follows:

Code:

Database error in vBulletin 3.5.3:

Invalid SQL:
SELECT * FROM vb3_forum WHERE forumid =;

MySQL Error  : You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1
Error Number : 1064

I believe that the error started after the vbulletin 3.5.3 upgrade. Any fixes?

sniper0 01-08-2006 04:48 AM

How do I uninstall this?

I don't want the errors right now but will gladly reinstall when it is fixed up.

Also, how come when I tried to move things to the recycle bin I had a no permission page pop up and it didnt work?

Whenever I try to give admins and mods permission to move stuff to the recycle bin, i get an error and the settings dont change.

Great. Thanks :)

I don't understand this hack ... What is wrong with creating a mod only forum and just moving threads into that?

Or am I missing something?

It's just the fact you can do it all at the same time, move and close. And empty it :).
