Doh! Thanks, great support.

007 12-04-2005 02:27 AM

How would I put this number on a different page? The number in $totalchatters ?

dprice 12-05-2005 09:30 PM

Everything works great! Thanks for a great hack!

Is there a way to manually clear USERS CURRENTLY IN FLASHCHAT?

I have over 30 users showing logged in to Flashchat and they are really not there.

Paul M 12-05-2005 11:38 PM

I would guess you have a combination of ;

1. Quite a few FireFox users.

2. High values for the 'autologoutAfter' & 'autocloseAfter' settings [in the flashchat config file].

WHat should the settings be? Its not logging ANYBODY out.

I have tried playing with those values in the config file, which was a no go.

I also sent you a PM with some login details so that you could take a look and see if that behavior is normal.

007 12-06-2005 08:36 PM

Can this number be made to show up in the Navbar? So a link that says "Chat (15)" etc?

Paul M 12-06-2005 09:18 PM

@007 - Not without changing where it runs.

@dprice - I have sent you a reply.

zendiver 12-08-2005 03:02 AM

Paul, I got a quick question, then I'll get out of your hair. Not sure which of your two threads to post this into, but seeing as how I got here first, this one will do. I have both of your easy to install hacks: Who Is Chatting & Whos Visited Today. Both are working as they should be with out any problems...so this is a cosmetic thing. Is there a way to have the Whos Visited Today on top rather than underneath Who is Chatting. I had first installed Who Visited Today and then WIS and it ended up on top, so I figured OK, I will do the install the other way, but no go....Is there a way to swap the two?

Thanks for all of your work...

Paul M 12-08-2005 07:47 AM

IIRC, the last one installed will be top, so uninstall WVT and then re-install it (just re-installing over the top will not work).

zendiver 12-08-2005 03:21 PM

No sir...that didn't work. I even unistalled both of them, then reinstalled in the order you suggested...WIC comes in above WVT. :(

In the previous version prior to 3.5, the latest install took priority, doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Any other suggestions? I know this isn't a bug, but it is more about me being anal about cosmetics and organization. I have that mentality as I do it all day long.

Thanks

gokke 12-08-2005 05:15 PM

There is no change in the class_hook code between 3.5.1 and 3.5.2, it runs them in the order it pulls them from the database, so as far as I can see the installation order should still affect this. There is still no other way to alter their execution order until this feature gets added to vb.

I was referring to to versions priort to 3.5, sorry for not clarifing this. Well, I will see what I can do about changing things up some. I was just hoping that you may have ran into this before and had an easy fix.

dfdems 12-12-2005 01:11 AM

Hello,

I am trying to keep my board as close to w3c valid as possible. I installed this (works great!) but it brings an error. No "alt" tag for the who's online image.

If it's OK with you (it's your hack) I would like to change the code on my installation

whos_online.gif" border="0"

to

whos_online.gif" alt="" border="0"

so it validates.

Paul M 12-12-2005 02:35 AM

Sure, feel free. It will get added as a low priority update at some point anyway.

Reeftanksonline 12-13-2005 12:56 PM

Search back in the thread - it's mentioned numerous times (user error / flashchat issue).

BiReL41r 12-16-2005 07:56 PM

It says that I'm always in the Chat, yet I'm not...Bug?

I don't want to sound rude, but please read the rest of the thread. This has been covered so many times i'm fed up of answering it. :)

How can I move the table from the bottom to the top of forum home page?

susie_in_texas 12-17-2005 04:28 PM

I have installed and I can see this on my site... the problem is when members login it disapears. As long as you are not loged in or an Admin you can see it...how do I make it so everyone can see it?

Anyone know how to do this?

CommanderDEUX 12-25-2005 11:36 PM

It wont work. Whenever I try and run it, it gives me an error like this:

Code:

Warning: Unknown(./chat/ch/inc/config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /index.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 21

Fatal error: (null)(): Failed opening required './chat/ch/inc/config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/schafe/public_html/forum/index.php(63) : eval()'d code on line 21

Hmmm... maybe one of you could PM me about this.

The "location of FlashChat" is shown as "chat"

and it is uploaded at www.mywebsite.com/chat/inc/config.php

Help would be appreciated (as a PM please)

redspider 12-26-2005 07:06 PM

'./chat/inc/config.php'

Have you set the chat location to "Flashchat" in the hacks ACP setting ?

(Those errors would suggest not).

AWI 12-27-2005 05:42 AM

Any idea on how to show in the postbit that the user is in chat?

indie 12-28-2005 09:28 PM

Now I am posting in the correct thread:

Any chance of making this a CMPS module? I have a module already but it's not as good as this mod, it doesn't have musername and it's in an iframe which is really annoying. I tried putting this code in a module, but no go. I guess it only works on FORUMHOME.

Thanks

Paul M 12-28-2005 09:37 PM

Not by me, I don't use CMPS. Maybe someone else can do it, and attach it to a post, I will put a link in the first post if they do.
