I am trying to install this.
Have uploaded via FTP the files to the proper places.
While running the install, I get this error:
Quote:

vBulletin Message

Invalid or empty style file specified
It wasn't recognizing the .xml file as being in the admincp folder, but I put it there several times after getting this error.

Any suggestions?

**EDIT: I took these files out, and used the one below. Now I get a different error.**

I used the link Oblivion Knight posted.

Anyone have any ideas what to do? It shows in the navbar, but when you click vBradio, this is the error message I get. :ermm:

You are sorta unclear what you did but yes it does work on linux installations as I have it running on my site at http://fraggersforever.com and you should be able to see it without registering and able to try it out. If you need some assistance you can contact me on msn which should be listed in my profile.

Devil Woman 02-10-2006 09:18 PM

is the below possible at all please?

Thanks

Just a quick question ; are there any plans to expand the type of streams the player can handle, such as WinAmp-based ones (PLS, MU3)?

found out how it works with Winamp:

http://xxxxxxx.xxxx.net:9015 - without /xxxx.pls on end.

but still no luck with real player.

Ok I am following the instruction....the xml file goes in the admincp directory
I runt he install script via my browser and I get the msg saying it can't find the xml file.
I copied it over again and actually placed it in a few places...such as the root.
Then when I run the install script it says I have an invalid or empty style file specified

Now what do I do?

you didnt put in right place.you have 2 xml files.

vBRadio.php --> ROOT FORUM DIRECTORY
admin_vbradio.php --> ROOT FORUM DIRECTORY/admincp
install_vbradio.php --> ROOT FORUM DIRECTORY/admincp
vbradio.xml --> ROOT FORUM DIRECTORY/admincp
cpnav_radio.xml --> ROOT FORUM DIRECTORY/includes/xml

--------------------------------------
btw. I get Internet TV to work.

hadog 02-13-2006 10:07 PM

Hi
The instruction in the zip file say to place it in the admincp directory which I did. This gave me an error So I placed it in the forum root which gets me past that error into the next one dealing with styles.
What am I missing in these directions?

hadog 02-13-2006 10:10 PM

ahhhh

there is only one xml file in the zip

interceptor 02-13-2006 10:11 PM

did you put this one too?
cpnav_radio.xml --> ROOT FORUM DIRECTORY/includes/xml.

I made this slowly file by file and it work perfect.
Just check one by one without rush.

hadog 02-13-2006 10:58 PM

Hi
I am up and running

Strange...I downloaded the zip file but it did not have all the files....I re downloaded and they were all there....installed
Thanks for pointing the way!!!

snoopgst 02-14-2006 05:34 AM

how do I edit the vbradio template? ex. put some google ads right under the "player controls".

snoopgst 02-15-2006 08:01 PM

This mod changed the way my Admin Control Panel looks (under styles & templates: edit templates) The font got smaller and a little out of place.

Devil Woman 02-15-2006 10:10 PM

Is there any javascript out there at all so that when people leave the forum the radio shuts down aswell?

I have looked and can't find anything at all

Thanks

Chadi 02-27-2006 05:23 PM

Can someone explain how to do the following possibly so?

1. Always on top for the popup window
2. Edit template to add a tiny button banner on the popup?

ptmuldoon 03-02-2006 06:57 PM

pabloknight 03-03-2006 09:28 PM

Here is the error I get. Can anyone help?

I think you want to install it again.
First you must delete table for radio in mysql and then run install again.

THanks. I actually tried it and it worked anyway. So the error didn't affect anything.
Thanks again though!

I would like to make the whole window larger.... why is this not as easy as it should be???

Anyhow, it seems as if the video box is enclosed to tightly...

Nice... how do you add that popup help message? :confused:
Can i know? :)

melodyt 03-26-2006 04:29 PM

I have this installed with no problems. I have had no errors. I can view the popup, but when I click on "play" nothing happens. Please help me get this fixed. Thanks!

melodyt 03-26-2006 09:30 PM

Ok, it appears to be my computer. How do I get this fixed though? If I'm having this problem, other members are as well I'm sure. I tried to clear my browser cache with mozilla and IE. It seems that the right side of the popup where the actual player shows isn't showing up. Any ideas what would cause this and how to fix it?

Thanks!

melodyt 03-27-2006 12:55 AM

I got it figured out I think. My Norton Internet Security was stopping it from starting. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here.

djjeffa 03-28-2006 12:45 AM

Answer:- Next to none. What it does is it loads the stream from another site, it then plays it in a Media Player (which should be installed on the client pc) so, it takes up about 5 - 10 KB, per person. (Thats all)

My question is:-

Ok Install went good for me, many people are tuning in. However... On "Online Users" it says "Unknown Location - vbradio.php". Is there anyway of making it say "Listening to the Radio".

Let me know!

Thanks.

djjeffa 03-30-2006 06:24 PM

cant anyone tell me how to uninstall?
i have the ol db from 3.0 and it wont let me install!!!!!!!

ahennings 03-30-2006 08:55 PM
