plz plz plz do something.

I can't do anything since I didn't code this. As I said, a bit of patience is needed since he doesn't code 24/7.

krela 11-07-2005 06:56 AM

*tap tap*

Waiting happily for this to come out :)

Any news?

Quite happy to test it on my site, it wont be mission critical ;)

Omega Prime 11-08-2005 11:29 PM

If any of you know how to code, we may add a coder or two to help create a much better version of the tracker. Currently, the tracker on my site is only a slightly modified vB3.5 version of the one found here, so if someone can devote their time and has some experience with php/mysql (preferably someone who's released some hacks as "proof" of their skill), feel free to post here or contact me ;)

Ive asked and he said after January. All other writers for similar scripts say 3 weeks then after that they say 3 weeks. I dont think anyone cares anymore. Meanwhile the only site I know of that has a torrent tracker for vbulletin 3.5 is Tokyo Nights. Made by this author and he doesnt feel its ready although its being used. Looks to be working quite well to me.

That's a fairly broad assuption. I can say this much: the current setup at Tokyo-Nights isn't nearly as good as it once was with the 3.0.x version we once had (since at the moment, we're just using slightly modified 3.0.x NuTT code). Because of this, afusion has had to work from the ground up to create a new and much better version of the tracker. The thing is that since he's the only one coding this, along with such things as school and life affecting how much time he has, it's not like he's coding this 24/7. I mentioned exactly a month ago in this thread that if someone can code and help with this, it would make this progress faster. Unfortunately, not one person contacted me in regards to this, so it'll be released when it's released.

I understand that. I just meant that al the other coders for similar hacks have been dodgey about it. However Noin (afusion) has been the only one to give a difinitive after January answer. Also he is the only one that shows some progress. I used to be fairly good with these things. However 3.5 has me confussed as anyone else. I just dont understand the hooks system. Id be happy to work on it myself. But it would be helpful to have something to work with. Why would I want to start from this code if hes already gotten it to run on 3.5? I'd rather work on a halfway working version than a totally non working version. Last I checked this was a beta release still.

kfiasche81 12-15-2005 04:31 PM

released a new version of Nutt ????

Crazy Serb 01-13-2006 04:57 PM

still no updates... for vb3.5... damn it...

MobileBlack 01-20-2006 10:55 AM

prolonged silence...

krela 01-21-2006 07:42 AM

I see the new release of XT as a replacement for NuTT, it looks awesome!

Will it be released to the world at large or shall we give up hope on having this nicely integrated vb tracker?

notsonormal 01-21-2006 08:43 PM

omg. you ROCK!

COBRAws 01-22-2006 08:24 PM

I wonder if this is gonnna be released or gonna be kept private.

MRGTB 01-22-2006 11:51 PM

I wouldn't be surprised if this finishes up a paid hack

itorrents 02-11-2006 04:01 AM

Well it seems to be running well on his site, hopefully he releases this to the general public soon.

*wink*

Data-Base 02-28-2006 06:14 PM

so any new news about :-)

I see in yours site that use VB 3.5.x with your tracker .. is there any chance that you release it here ?

Thanks

COBRAws 03-10-2006 01:44 PM

ill pay 50USD for this. I need ASAP :( been waitin for so long lol

Omega Prime 04-04-2006 05:25 PM

Unfortunately, afusion currently doesn't have any plans for making this public since he's busy with school these days and doesn't have the time to work on it nearly as much as he used to (which basically would result in people here asking questions about issues with it and not getting a solution).

I don not like when people say "wait" and then we wait and we wait and we wait, and after one year and a half they say this... its a lack of respect.

Omega Prime 04-07-2006 05:56 AM

Neither do I, but I didn't code this. I'm the admin/owner of the site which XT currently resides in, so I can't control what afusion decides on his hacks. As I said, he doesn't have plans on releasing it, but it's not to say that it'll be like this forever, esp. once he finishes school in a month or so.

Though a note saying what was going on would have been appreciated, him screwing over school to make a bunch of random internet people happy would be silly.

It's a lack of respect to expect him to cater to your needs. If/when it comes out, cool. I've been looking forward too it for a while. Hope he does well with his studies.

Yes how dare him, he should put his life and studies on hold just to please you! your a twit!

COBRAws 04-11-2006 07:53 PM

Im not asking him to drop school. We have been told to wait for a release, and now they say there wont be.

And to the one who said im a twat, plase, be respectful, read the rules or leave vb.org.

It was meant in jest, not to be disrespectful so I apologise if it came out wrong :) sometimes I forget where I am  and I never called you a "twat" :D I said twit!

raidendk 05-27-2006 07:24 AM

hi i have just installed this great tracker
but it shows the wrog size of the torrent
it say that the torrent only is 2.00 gb but it is actually 4.36 gb
how can i fix that?
and anyone have a working member.php file

and by the way
when can we expect the 3.5 tracker?

PitPunks 07-04-2006 03:19 PM

Jesus christ this thread is old, we need a 3.5 update, as i can see on his site he has updated it to the 3.6 version.

toolmanwill 07-06-2006 11:13 AM

VBTT 3 which will work with 3.5 vbulletin is in development and will be free, see this thread https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...27#post1023427

The version running on my site is still in testing stages, as some things aren't working too great (such as the RSS feed which shows torrents dated as Jan 1970). Since I had asked months ago in this thread for help and no one truly volunteered, things are getting done at afusion's pace (who is currently MIA since he's in the Netherlands atm). If someone here knows enough php/mysql to help with this project, something can be arranged. For now, there's no definite plan of releasing this publicly.

afusion 08-23-2006 06:33 PM

Sorry for taking ages since the last update.

Thing is, in the beginning of the year I switched to XBTT for a backend and my tracker is now used just as a frontend for XBTT so to run the current version you'd need a dedicated server and a possibility to run XBTT.
Also, with the next version I'll be moving completely away from vB and PHP over to Ruby on Rails so basically, the version here is the last generally available version.

Sorry to let you people down but as the site grew, the requirements grew and that's how it went.
Apologies.

tutusinghsohi 02-17-2007 03:24 PM

any chance of this being released again with full confidence that it'll work....:(

Omega Prime 02-21-2007 03:58 PM

The tracker that was on my site will be removed shortly as Noin (aka afusion) decided to mess with my site and go as far as changing the SSH login and deleting our database. Luckily, I had a database backup from hours prior, but the mess he made caused many members to assume the site was gone due to another admin and myself figuring out how to undo his damage.

I ask that in the future, you all avoid working with this guy, as one day he'll seem reasonable, and the next he'll do something like change your site just because he can. Someone told me this isn't the first time he's done this (since Noin also messed with his site), so don't work with him. It took months of constant asking to get Noin to work on a 3.5+ version of the tracker, so for him to release it here would be nearly impossible. Consider this project dead.

thincom2000 03-05-2007 06:28 PM

I have been working on porting this to 3.6.x for my site. After a day of editing the code, I got the tracker index working.

EDIT: I got almost completely through upload.php to find that it doesn't upload anything. I have no clue how this ever worked on ANY version of vBulletin. I will just go back to the tracker I was using before and try integrating that instead of updating a tracker that does nothing.

EDIT: vBTT all the way!

PHILIPS-08 06-07-2008 09:58 AM

THanx for the torrent

dxlwebs 08-09-2008 01:34 PM

does this work in 3.6.x?
